Another head case. Letter high down the middle. The big guy only pitches two innings, how come not more maybe start. This game is sickening and Hughes big P***y lapping it up. This team is doomed. Hitting sucks pitching worse. Cashman thanks for this pile.

Second time in recent memory where Robertson just throws a complete shit pitch and just shrugs his shoulders, did it against the White Sox as well

his body language is awful, might not have the mentality to be a closer

I get killed for saying this is a .500 team.

The Yankees shuffled Hughes off to Buffalo because he was a dud, ditto Nunez, then got their noses rubbed in pee by those two today. Looks like Robertson fell apart after out two in the 9th. Between now and July 3 this team who just lost two of three to the Twinkies will face Oakland, the Blue Jays, Kansas City, Baltimore, and Kansas City. They'd best be for getting it wired.

...Armageddon.

Isn't this the 3rd Armageddon...in but 14 years...?

1st was the New Millenium, 1-1-2000, (when all computers were going to crash)....the 2nd on 12-12-2012, (Mayan Calendar end)...now this....?

...apparently it depends on which way the wind blows on any given day.

14-16 in their last 30 with a tough schedule coming up. Trouble is coming with the current group their fielding.

...29-26 in their last 55 with 107 more games coming up...players returning and the trade deadline coming.

Watching the River Avenue Blues videos D-rob said he simply lost command. When asked about potential trades Girardi stated that his job was to run what he had. Joe also stated that the offense needed to "get going" some of the talent is not delivering as expected. No comment on returnees Hughes stated his move to Minnesota was a needed change.

Really Joe? No shit!

I'm willing to give Robertson a little more time in the closer role but on a short leash. It's not easy replacing Rivera so he deserves some time to see if he can work things out. If the hits and walks continue at this rate there's simply no way he can be kept in the closer role.

Mess, the problem with robertson in the closers role will always be there. He throws too many pitches and will rarely if ever be available 3 days in a row and in a lot of cases won't even be available 2 days in a row. Tough to have a closer with that resume.

I guess the hope is he can improve on that. Otherwise I completely agree that you can't have a closer throwing all those pitches every time out. It does seem like every time it's two guys on base.

Robertson needs to work on the amount of walks he allows. I know that doesn't matter when he's blowing games with long balls but Rivera blew his share of saves last year as well. That being said Mo never really walked anyone. Robertson seems to fiddle around the plate too often which leads to too many base runners.

...may see D-Rob and Betances swap roles before the year is up.

I think he's the eventual guy if he can continue his rise. I just don't want it rushed because if Betances struggles in the closer spot but going there too soon then what?

...the only problem I have with locking Betances into the "closer's" role is that like yesterday Betances came in the 6th, and completely slapped the Twins down for 2 innings and striking out 5 of the 6 batters he faced. Though Robertson blew it in the 9th yesterday, sometimes shutting a team down in the 6-7-8th innings can be just as important...I guess what I'm saying is that you can lose a game in the earlier innings just as well as you can in the 9th.
