In Phoenix I always thought of Robin as one of the slowest players in the league. Dude is moving faster than I remembered

From Chris Haynes just now:

http://www.csnnw.com/blog/blazers-talk/robin-lopez-im-very-excited-and-ready-get-it

“The defensive end is the part of my game that I take pride in,” Lopez said. “I just try to be a defensive presence at all times. Blocking shots, altering shots, I feel like I'm more discipline than I was earlier in my career when I was fouling a lot and going for every pump-fake. I try not to foul as much and it has helped me out tremendously. I'm ready to get the job done.”

OOOPS! I saw uploaded july 9, 2013 but did not read the description!

fuck, the dream was so smooth

the funny thing is, you cant really teach that

Wow, one Lopez looks significantly better than the other one. Which one did we get?

The one which would look significantly better if they were doing defensive drills.

I think it's better we got the defensive, banger brother. We have so much offense now; we need a defensive anchor.

My point exactly. I know Sly was just trying to be a smart-ass, but I thought the other side relevant to point out.

Also, I could have said, "the one who makes significantly less money and allows us to sign other players as well." Also relevant.

He's so much like Przybilla in terms of skillset.

I don't know if he'll ever show the toughness Joel brought but his offense is equally sad.

I thought you'd be offended at the word "trying", suggesting that you hadn't succeeded. :devilwink:

I was trying to be negative like the majority of posters in here seem to be.

Hell, even Mags did a better job of it than I did when he tweeter LMA today and told him he was no longer our best player.

Does it really read like that?

@magnifier661: @aldridge_12 you being our best player is up!

Just not true.

Przybillas per 36 ppg average, 7 points. His best year only 9.5 points.
Lopez's per36 ppg average is 14.9, his lowest was 11.1 and last season was 15.7

Lopez's ortg average was 7 points higher. His OWS, 2.5 points higher. Those are both big numbers.

Lopez in not the defender Przybilla was, although he is improving. But offensivly Lopez is much better ( still nothing special) than Przybilla ever was.

I can see it now - Fez:

Not.

Swayed.

(Even when proven wrong.)

Joel Przybilla was the only John Nash "win" that I can think of.

I should make a point of only reading this board when I'm in a good mood. You guys are much better entertainment when I am. :)

What are you talking about! Ha Sueng Je Ling was.

wait..what was his name again?

When Przybilla came to Portland he was MUCH lighter than his days in Atlanta and Milwaukie.

He was playing around 270 there - McMillan wanted him mobile and cut his weight down considerably.

That revived his career.
