Wes and Lopez for Hibbert and the Pacers pick? Then we sign Afflalo?

You would have at least get a very good alternative to LSD.You'd think the Blazers sould have some of Bill Walton's DNA laying around. Shouldn't be that hard to clone him.
You think Lopez wants out of Portland? I thought he liked it here. I don't see anyone giving him a huge contract though, I wouldn't match it for a player like Robin. He's playing like he wants out of Portland.
tell you what I for one want Lopez out of Portland unless hes signs for 5 mil a year and as a backup, he's been totally MIA last part of the season and during the playoffs, we make a big mistake IMO if we sign him to a 4 yr deal for 40 mil or soYou think Lopez wants out of Portland? don't let the door hit ya on the way out! He's playing like he wants out of Portland.

Jumping the gun on this a bit. Kind of like your thread on wanting to trade or release Leonard.tell you what I for one want Lopez out of Portland unless hes signs for 5 mil a year and as a backup, he's been totally MIA last part of the season and during the playoffs, we make a big mistake IMO if we sign him to a 4 yr deal for 40 mil or so
if LMA is really 275 and strong he would be a great C, with Meyers and picking up another PFIt seems that Portland has tailored their defense around Lopez, he'll stay back to protect the rim rather than jumping out to help on the pick and rolls. Too bad LaMarcus is such a pansy-ass, because he could be a really good center, playing along side Meyers.
don't think I'm jumping the gun at all, he's a backup C and so far is bringing nothing to the playoffs, I want guys on this team that show they can bring it, like Meyers and CJ are doingJumping the gun on this a bit. Kind of like your thread on wanting to trade or release Leonard.
Lopez played very well for us for 1.5 years. The last .5 year he has been bad but so had Dame. Injuries are everywhere on our team and even when they come back they seem to linger too long. I am fine with upgrading but if there isn't a upgrade out there then Lopez would be fine to come back. His D is down (as is his O obviously) but it was very, very good before this stretch and that is what this team needs most, D. 4 years at 10 per would be a steal imo if we can't get Hibbert. I wouldn't be thrilled with 12 per though but bigs get overpaid right and left period. Hibbert better not make near as much as he was in his next contract but I bet he will.
He is a backup Center the last 3 weeks. Not overall. And Meyers and CJ have sucked at times this year as well. They are young so it is understandable of course but Rolo was never brought here to score. He was brought here to play D and rebound (or let LMA rebound) and he has done that job very well for 1.5 years. You think he magically lost his ability to do that in half a year? I don't. And it is easy to say someone should go without an alternative or with an alternative that would actually cost a lot more (which most Centers will).if LMA is really 275 and strong he would be a great C, with Meyers and picking up another PF

totally disagree, Rolo is just not that good, I am not saying we don't try to keep him, but with his limitations I only think we keep him like he should be paid - as a backup CHe is a backup Center the last 3 weeks. maybe the problem will be solved if he decides to leave PortlandAnd LMA has said time and time again that he doesn't want to play Center. It might be the best position for him but if he won't play it then what is the point?

I going to leave this one up to Olshey as he has earned the benefit of doubt imo. I will say that every center (even the stars) have a deficiency. Be it free throw shooting, no offense, only D. etc.totally disagree, Rolo is just not that good, I am not saying we don't try to keep him, but with his limitations I only think we keep him like he should be paid - as a backup C
Solves one problem and creates many more. Lets suck again for a long time! No thanks.maybe the problem will be solved if he decides to leave Portland

talk about knee jerk reactions... players go into slumps whiles others step up. Those roles could reverse at any time and more than likely will and then we will be here talking about how we shouldn't re sign CJ/Meyers.
His per 36 really hasn't changed much this year compared to last but your opinion sure has.
"the Lopez acquisition was stellar"
"Just gotta love what Lopez brings this team"
"I don't mind paying Nic 12 mil per and Rollo 10-11 mil this summer"
"I would not pay Robin more that 7-8 mil per"
"I for one want Lopez out of Portland unless hes signs for 5 mil a year"
"Rolo is just not that good"
"don't let the door hit ya on the way out!"
One important consideration regarding Rolo's compensation is available options. Up until recently, it was assumed that Rolo was the best center we had. As Leonard has emerged and improved, Rolo-retention has become less and less essential. Keeping him around as a 3rd big behind LA and Leonard would be ideal, but I imagine he'll get more money and a better opportunity elsewhere.
Situations evolve, and opinions reasonably change.
Good point.folks act like Meyers is a better option than LA. Look at the body of work
