I don't think posts should ever be deleted, unless they contain personal information about a poster.

Anyhow, Lopez played like crap against PHX in game 1. Wednesday is an early benchmark for him as a bounceback player, IMO.

I was sitting at half court tonight and I saw fear in the faces of the Detroit bigs when Drummond and Lopez got chippy. Lopez is fucking HUGE in person, and kinda crazy, so they look at him like they don't know what's coming next.

They look like batters stepping in against a mentally unstable relief pitcher that throws 100mph, not knowing if they're going to get a fastball at their head the next pitch.

Very cool to have this kind of intimidation on the team again.

Repped. THAT'S what LMA wanted, and it's nice to see Lopez is embracing the tough guy act.

I'm pleasantly surprised about his scoring. I didn't expect that from him.

RoLo is a top 10 center.

Its funny how twins can be completely contrast in style of play. Brook is prefers silky smooth jumpers and plays the game like a violinist. Robin on the other hand plays like he's going into a mosh pit bangin to some Slayer.

Brook is a nice player and probably a good violinist, but we need the headbanger.

Yeah its really interesting. I think its because twins end up playing so much as teammates usually you need different roles filled on a team so they each pick a role early and stick with it. Could you imagine the Lopez twins on the same team in middle school or high school? Scary!

With Synergy, you can pull up each rebound. Box and tip outs could be tracked, just like traditional rebounds. Some teams are probably already doing it.

You could have stats such as Rebound Assist, where your box-out allows a rebound from a teammate to happen. Freeland and Lopez might lead the league in Rebound Assists! :ghoti:

love what RoLo is bringing to this team, and with ALL the new guys there remains significant room for improvement as players learn each others strengths/weaknesses. Very glad that he appears to be making LMA happy as well, so far a very good start to the season

I think there are a few changes that should be made. One that I've been wanting to see for a while is an assist for points that come from free throws. How many times do you see a guy make a great pass, only to have the recipient get fouled causing them to miss the easy dunk/layup/etc? They should give .5 assists for every free throw made.

He could have gotten an offensive foul with the way he led with the off arm. Forearm to the mouth!

Refs take a lot of heat and justifiably so . . . but it is a very tough sport to ref. I see that clip as the Piston player jumping right into Lopez path and fouling with the body. I do see Lopez arm come out and could see a offensive foul being called, but I think that would be a bad call as I see most of the contact is created by the Piston player coming in flying at Lopez.

I think the refs decided this was a no call situation . . . which I disagree, I see foul on Detroit.

It was a foul on Detroit. That was the call during the game

Yep, and a very easy call. The Piston player jumped into him. If he would have jumped straight up, he would not have gotten hit by Lopez' arm. Foul on the defense is the correct call.

I like the way this team is coming together. I just wish that Thomas Robinson was part of the story. Maybe he will eventually come around, too, though. We have a very solid lineup and when our #1 draft pick gets healthy we'll really see what we've got.

It kind of felt like Lopez was a placeholder for a better center (Leonard?) was developed. It sure seems like Lopez could be the long term solution though. I know he isn't consistent and isn't the quickest of athletes, but he sure did display a nice touch around the rim and some decent post moves. The guy is only 25. Maybe a late bloomer? I'm sure he will never be an all-star, but I do hope he sticks long term and can continue to develop. Such a good fit in so many ways.

Tell me about it. I have high hopes for T. Rob, but he just doesn't seem like he has any control. Maybe that's why we got him for nothing but cap space. The good thing is Freeland is coming together well. Hopefully that puts less pressure on Leonard and T. Rob to develop their game the way they should and be an asset to this club sooner than later.

Lopez is good for the Blazers and the Blazers are good for Lopez.

He has a long way to go and still has to prove his durability, but if Lopez keeps this up, he is line for a big contract with somebody.

So funny. A bunch of the jabronies around here were pissed we gave up Jeff Withey for Robin 'freakin' Lopez. The shitty twin.

Leonard needs to go to the Dleague. I was watching some Dleague games from last year (You can find them all over youtube.. they even have a dedicated channel) and it's really awesome to see Freeland do his work down there. That is exactly what Leonard needs to do.

TRob I am losing a little bit of hope for. His BBIQ is just not up to par (Or is that down to par). But, he is our only true back up 4 (though I don't mind giving Freeland those minutes, if he wants to go to a 4 and a 5... we have enough shooters.)

Not this guy. In fact, I was advocating grabbing him early last season. I knew what he was capable of for this team!

I reffed them both as HS Seniors in a few AAU Tournaments. They were 7 feet and dominant then.

I saw this play and Lopez got a free throw. The foul was called on Drummond. As a ref, even though Lopez leads with his arm the defender is not a legal defender. He is not jumping in his vertical plane. He is jumping INTO Lopez. All contact caused by an illegal defender is a foul on the illegal defender.
