Shawn Evans pretended to drive to the outside, brought his stick back to the inside, and put a high shot in the near, top corner 48 seconds into overtime to lift the Knighthawks past the Boston Blazers, 11-10, on Saturday in Boston.
With Rochester short-handed, Chris Schiller knocked down and retrieved a lazy Dan Dawson pass and fed Evans for a breakaway goal and a 3-0 lead.
It was 5-5 at halftime and the Blazers held a 7-6 lead after three quarters.
At 12:25 of the fourth, Casey Powell found Josh Sanderson on the crease who pushed the ball in to put Boston ahead 9-6.
Shawn Williams scored behind his back to cut Boston's lead to 9-7; he scored again on a fast break to pull the Knighthawks within a goal and finished with two goals and five assists.
Williams assisted Rochester's last three goals.
