Yao has been take out of the game by Portland's defense in the last two games. The Rockets won by three tonight with Yao Ming scoring only seven points. The Blazers have a 65% chance to win game 4 and tie the series. They are going to focus on shutting everyone down while fronting Yao on Sunday and the Rockets offense won't be pretty unless Yao steps up big.

By game four, teams figure out every Rockets player can be taken out with a man to man defense and a man fronting Yao.

Game 4 will be huge.

Game 4 is going to be a Battle Royale. Elbows will be thrown. Tempers will flare. "There will be blood."

And the Blazers will win . . .

Roy and Aldridge are going to be big. They want to go back to Portland with the home court. After seeing them play tonight, expect them to come out fired up on Sunday.

Rudy Fernandez is a future star in the making. Man has some serious skills. Travis Outlaw has been MIA thus far.

If Rockets take Game 4, series is over. Pressure is on the Blazers since they are playing away and they need to win this game, I expect them to start really well, look for the Blazers to bring some fire to game 4. Rockets need to be ready for whatever, Yao needs to step up.

Yao has scored 18 points on 5-13 shooting these past two games. He stepped up during game one, but Portland has taken him out of the game since. If he doesn't score on Sunday, expect a loss for Houston. Guys like Outlaw, Roy, Aldridge, Fernandez, and Oden are coming to play.

We'll tie the series up 2-2 on Sunday. I have a good feeling about it.

People are forgetting that Yao grabbed 13 rebounds tonight, completely outclassing our centers.

I think it's the other way around. If the Rockets lose Game 4, the series is over. Even if the Blazers lose Game 4, 2 of the last 3 games will be in Portland so they have a good shot at running the table. Game 4 is must win for Houston or they are done.

Well also, if the Blazers lose Game 4 I think this series is over. The Rockets have already played the Blazers close in Portland, I think they pull out one of the last games, road or not.

if we lose game 4 it is all over, we may be able to take 5 and force a 6th but beating a team 3 straight is an extremely tough task, especially when the teams are as even as these two.

were gonna lose. McClueless will make sure Outlaw gets his 30 mins.

Either game 4 or game 6 are must wins at their place and we can't lose at home either throughout the series.
At this point Outlaw is in a funk. Why doesn't Nate just bench him and let Rudy eat his minutes.

So after winning game 3, the winning team is on their heels?

Yeah it gets a little ridiculous I'm not gonna lie lol. But I do miss some of those guys over there lol... key word SOME.

When you're fronting a guy it's much MUCH easier for him to get rebounds.

I don't think some people understand the amount of energy that Greg and Joel are putting into defending Yao. When he is on the floor their job is not to get rebounds - it is to make sure he doesn't get the ball, it is to make him work and get tired, and TRY to keep him off the boards. It is the other players job to try to get those rebounds.

if the rockets go up 3-1, the blazers don't have a good shot at winning the series even with two games remaining at home. the rockets would have 3 shots to close it out and i would expect them to be successful in doing so.

if the blazers go up 2-2, the series is back to basically being a toss up with the blazers being favored(but not significantly) since they have homecourt.

I made that title because game 4 is always when the Rockets get complacent in a series. The Rockets haven't won a game 4 in over 10 years, this is when teams usually figure out how to take Yao out of the game.

The Pau-Loving Nets fan returns! Let all Blazer fans bask in his witty repartee and razor wit!

If we can get a lead at the start I love our chances. Every game our starting unit has gotten killed.

Well we haven't gotten out of the first round in 9 years so I don't think recent history helps us out too much.
