The only question seems to be where he will be traded, with Sacramento and Toronto looking like the current frontrunners. Robinson or Beal would be huge for our roster. If not, I'm cool with Lillard. I'd expect, barring anything crazy or any big moves, any of those 3 would start this year so we'd probably shape free agency around who we get in the draft.

More like confused on my facts, I remembered the Joe Smith signing from Minnesota and thought it was the same thing. Forgot it was a behind the scenes deal to get around the Cap not an agreement between a team and the FA before they are supposed to be able to talk. Still is illegal for the Rockets to work out anything with Dragic.

We didn't sign Camby we extended him. It was also the last day we could (apr 20th) so not sure exactly why.

Exactly. There's nothing illegal with negotiating with a player you already have under contract. What would be illegal would be if any other team had worked something out with Lowry.
