The late Debbie Reynolds, before Roe, had a fetus die at 7 1/2 months. Because abortion was illegal, she was told she would have to carry the corpse until she went into labor. Not until she showed signs of sepsis was she allowed to terminate what had been a wanted pregnancy.

Ireland finally changed its laws after a woman in exactly that condition died.
