one of rondos best qualities is his man defense, which isnt measured by PER

Rondo is not CP3 or Deron.

He passes up on more wide open layups than I've ever seen in the NBA. He takes pass first to the extreme and inflates his numbers.

He has never had a season where he had at least a 20PER. Deron has averaged a 20PER since his second year in the League; CP3 with a career 25PER.

I already stated I would like to have Rondo - for the right price.

He is not available cheap. He will cost a lot. A LOT.

What I did originally say was:

"Rondo is a very good player, who has become overrated because he has been on a good team with other very good players and been in the playoffs a lot and had several very outstanding series."

Then I said: "There are lots of players who have that resume". By which I meant, had some good playoff series - despite not being a "great" player. In other words, you expect LeBron and Kobe to have had some good playoff series. They are great players. Very good players, of those who have been in a lot of playoffs, some have had several good playoff series, and some have not, calling into question what kind of player they are. Rondo (at times, not every single series he has been in) is a prime-time baller. And that is great. But, it is leading to his overvaluation and sky-high price by Boston. I don't want to pay it.

There are lots of players that have had good playoff series.

I prefer to look at multiple years of history. Not 15 or so games. If you look at that, Rondo is very good, but not great. If you look at that Rondo has never been the "leader" of his team. And one year he was the "best" player - two seasons ago. If you look at that you see Rondo isn't getting better every year - he peaked two full seasons ago.

High cost to obtain.

Jerk-off personality and hard to coach.

I happen to dislike non-Centers who can't shoot.

I just don't understand why the hell the team should want this guy so badly, when Boston would looooooove to divest themselves of his "greatness".

Odd strawman aside,

Lebron has posted that statline or above 34 times in his career. He is 25-9 in those games, including playoffs.
Rondo has 23 triple doubles in his career. He is 21-2 in those games.

So I guess I will answer your question with a question, which is a better winning percentage? .735, or .913.
