Steve, Knoblach's problem was his arm while I believe most of Headley's errors have been on his fielding of the ball. But if you're talking about it being a mental thing then yeah.

in 1999, Knobby had 26 errors, 25 fielding, 1 catching at 2B (150 games at 2B)... in 2000 (82 games at 2B), he had 15 errors total at 2B, 5 fielding, 10 throwing... so his throwing kicked in at 2000 or late 1999, but he still had a hell of a lot of errors in 1999...

I didn't realize that many were throwing. And then you don't know how many errors Teixeira saved him.

It looks like Tex is capable so far this year in being amongst league leaders in Fldg Pctg. for 1st basemen......; and/or THE Gold Glove......

I'd love to see Him win another GG, especially this year.....! It would be a nice touch; or highlight for the Team itself....as-
- having a Multiple Gold Glove Infielder, can enable a team; of other players to strive for the same perfection; intensity and focus, to play while slowing time down to almost slow motion in a players head.....but ya'll know that.....

Jerry Rice said those athletes who excel, always are the ones who time slows down for, and everything seems like its in slow motion....a few other great athletes have said the same.....

No doubt, Tex has that intense focus on the field, as a defensive position player, and I hope He can do the same and bring his .259 B'Avg up 20 points, he'd be a bit over his Lifetime Batting Avg.....and his B'avg has been rising slowly, but surely...
