2 bars, downstairs and up. Better get drinks before hand, long ass lines!

What he said.....I went to the NAS/Damien Marley concert last summer and it was ridiculous.

Love Tiesto as well. Unfortunately I had to miss Oakenfold the last time he was in town

I was there. Hell, I'll probably go see him when he's 50. That'll be a trip. It'll be how my parents felt when they went to Aerosmith concerts in the '90s. :chestbump:

u going tonight?

Nope. Blazers for me in the cheap seats! I'm getting a bit old for these shows, but at least Tiesto and Oakenfold are still much older than me. I had to go see Oakenfold at the Crystal, though, since I've been a fan since the Perfecto days.

Fucking fantastic show. I saw him in San Francisco at 1015 Folsom back in the late '90s as well.

Roseland is ok for 21 and over shows if you do it right. Get there kind of early, with a buzz, and get a seat in the balcony facing the stage. There's usually a hot little brunette that serves the area that passes by enough to keep your buzz on. That way you get good seats, you get a consistent flow of beer or booze, and you don't have to fight those shitty bar lines. Get up to pee when you have to, make sure your friends save your seat, and your night will be great.

Last time I was there was to see Pennywise about a year or two ago. Good time!

Last time I was there about a decade or two ago (ok, three) it was called the Starry Night. Vaguely remembered good time!

I'm a dedicated flasker, but I wouldn't chance it @ The Roseland. Their entry security is the tightest of any venue/arena in Portland...thorogh pat down + metal detector.

The Roseland is one of my favorite larger venues.

Didn't the owner kill someone...then it became the Roseland?

::googling::

Yup...

Operated by Larry Hurwitz, Starry Night was closed in 1989 following the disappearance of club employee Tim Moreau after a dispute over counterfeit tickets for a John Lee Hooker concert. Hurwitz was convicted 10 years later in the murder following confessions from his father.
