Portland?!?!

Looks like he attended the Tim Duncan school of showing up the refs. Nice!

Fuck, some of you are major homers

Skepticism\Criticism is warranted, Olshey promised big and has delivered small to date....

Trying to trump Lopez as anything more than a questionable? Upgrade to what Hickson provided is a stretch, he'll Withey could be the better player 1-2 years from now for all we know.

Withey first has to try and get on an NBA roster. If he ever has a PER outside of single digits I'll be surprised.

agree with you in principle, but to be fair he's not on a team b/c of his PER.

I was mostly musing, I don't really have a strong reaction to what's happened so far one way or another (yet). I think the moves Olshey has orchestrated are "good" from a value perspective, in that he didn't give up much to get what he got and maybe they were the best he could do? (likely). I just sort of doubt they were enough to appease Aldridge's desire to win sooner rather than later.

But go ahead and rage against my lukewarm feelings about the trades if it makes you feel better.

EDIT: In any case, aren't we agreeing then that the team will probaby win about 10 more games over last year?

I don't think winning 10 more games next year is really a big deal when you consider we essentially tanked towards the end of the year. I can see us being a 45-50 win team. Depending on Lillard/Leonards improvements (young players do actually get better) the contributions we can get from McCollum and T-Rob, I think it could be a 50-55 win team.

I think we'll be very good if we stay relatively healthy.

There was no center available in FA that was going to come in and be a savior.

They got a journeyman center dirt cheap, instead of badly over-paying for one. Seems like a sensible move!
