Point one - I ran across this today, and had forgotten completely about it:

The family moved back to Seattle when the dad got shipped off overseas later. Whatever secret conspiracy protest you want to ascribe, anti-military isn't likely it.
Point two - I'm a vet and I'd like to remind everyone that the national anthem is not about the military in particular, it's the *national* anthem. That said, sit, stand, or do whatever you want. I don't personally care (just don't try and salute if you don't know how).
