LA,BROY and the rest of the guys need to realize and so do we that they might not put up huge numbers this season. With as much talent as we have, the stats will be spread out a bit. As long as we are winning, they will be fine.
This is what the Championship team did. Walton might only get 16-18 pts on one night and the next it might be Luke with 23 or whom ever. They always exploited the mismatches and ran as often as they could. That team was as unselfish as they come.
My guess is that it will take a month or so into the season before they begin to click on all cylinders.
Well said. This team will succeed by having multiple threats that on any given night can lead the team. The opposing team will not have the ability to focus in on one or two guys.

No, that doesn't sound like a good idea. Let's trade our talent for scrubs that would be content with sitting on the bench and would make great cheerleaders. We should only be about 3 deep. That's how championship teams are built.![]()
Turning Marty, Travis, and Jerryd into Battier and Landry would solve quite a few problems.

I'd settle for Jerryd, Blake and Travis for Kyle Lowry and Landry.
I was thinking that too. I really liked Lowry during the playoffs. The guy is tough.
(doubtful)He plays defense, he's a pretty good passer and he drives a little bit, he can't shoot a lick from outside of course, but I think this team has enough perimeter players as it is.
Beyond that you have to wonder if Memphis might be persuaded to trade Conley and some other throw-in for some combination of 3 Blazers role players(doubtful)

Consolidation trade!
Miller/Blake
Roy/Webster
Johnson/Batum
Aldridge/Howard
Oden/Collins
Only reason why I threw Johnson's name out there is because he said he is going to opt out and become a free agent this summer. Maybe Atlanta would be scared of losing him..... Either way, I know it probably wouldn't happy.
he is already averaging over 4 less games per season then Sheed...Now that Roy's been paid, he's just gonna ride along...so long as they CTC.
Let's be realistic though, it's not good to be 2-3 deep at every position with guys who can and probably should start in the NBA. Historically it hasn't worked out well. Look at the teams that have won over the last few years, and you see 2-3 stars and some role players. Robert Horry wasn't All-Star material. Derek Fisher wasn't going to drop 20 points per night. Bruce Bowen was defensive player of the year, but he wasn't a guy that a defense had to plan for.
This team needs three guys who can dominate, and the rest should be complimentary players who know what it takes to win. That's the recipe for championships.
Not true. The Celtics have three players that take shots, and one (Rondo) that facilitates shots. The Blazers have 5 or 6 players that deserve shots and one (Miller) that facilitates shots.
Andre Miller said:“If I was told right out when I had my meetings that I would be a backup, then I wouldn’t have come here,” Miller told Yahoo! Sports this week.
Not a great quote here btw

I’m sitting on the baseline and I’m hearing fans in the audience say, ‘Sit with the team.’ I just got here. [The fan] said, ‘Sit with the team. Stop acting like that.’
“I was like, ‘Damn.’ They wouldn’t have said that if [the media] didn’t give a false impression. I never have had any problems with any fans. I socialize with fans at appearances and in public.”
That's exactly what I'm thinking. I actually think Roy's numbers may go down this year, simply because Oden is going to be more of an offensive force. The biggest difference between this year and last year isn't Andre Miller. It's a healthy Greg Oden. Nate is trying to get Greg more involved in the offense, so it's throwing the starters off a bit. They were used to one thing, now they've added a couple more pieces and it's going to take some getting used to.
i dont know... im starting to get a feeling that this season has let down written all over it

5 maximum if you want to include Rudy. Everyone else can suck it and be a role player. If they don't like it, bye.
Intense hatred for Outlaw doesn't mean he hasn't proven he's worthy of shots.
