wow I wish roy would move like the rest of the team when he isnt able to play....great movement compared to what they normally do.

Everyone blames Nate for our lack of running and movement on offense, but I keep saying it's Roy. I LOVE Roy, he's my favorite player, and I'm not saying we should trade him, but he is the guy slowing the pace down, not Nate.

'Slow' is just the pace to his game.

The anti-Nash.

"Playing under control" is a euphemism for playing slow-paced. :dunno:

It is interesting, though, how the Blazers stepped up the pace in Brandon's absence last night. To an extent, I hope he was taking some notes.

It has little to do with pace and more to do with players not standing around watching the Roy on five set we often run. Without him, we're passing more and moving better without the ball. I would hope that Nate figures out a way to get Roy and the team running that kind of offense with Brandon in the game.

Amen.

I hope to God this set is put on ice and only brought out in the final moments of close games, or a way to close out a quarter. The way it is now, I feel like it's Roy and 4 mannequins out there, and that's just a waste of talent in my opinion.

In my history of playing and coaching, players move when they know their efforts will be rewarded. If they're going to run around off screens just for Roy to pull up from 15ft (and make it), then they're more likely to just stand around IMO.
