Rudy banged his knee against Roy against the hornets.
Sean marks twisted his ankle while landing on a hornets ankle awkwardly during the third quarter vs the hornets

Rudy banged his knee? Is that what they are calling them these days? Anyone remember what they called it when Joel took one to the nards so hard against GS that it swelled up like a volleyball (or so I was told) and he had to miss a couple of weeks?

I hate to break it to you, but I don't think testicles swell up. In fact, they pop surprisingly easily.

As I recall, the reports were that he was hospitalized and they had to be drained several times due to the swelling.

Yes they do. My friend in high school got nailed right in his left testicle by a line drive and he showed it to me against my will. It was easily 4 times the normal size.

Joel Pryzbilla a couple of years ago got kicked in the gonads and he was out for awhile with swelling in the testicles.

Maurice Lucas died not too long ago. I mean, if you want to look at it like that, we're not just getting injured...we're losing people too. It's ridiculous.

Heres Rudy's pic.

Portland Trailblazers' Rudy Fernandez (5) from Spain is surrounded by teammates after being hurt during the first half of an NBA basketball game against the New Orleans Hornets in Portland, Ore., Saturday Nov. 26, 2010.

From the Blazers website.
Trail Blazers center/forward Sean Marks is out for Sunday's game against the Nets in New Jersey. He rolled his ankle in the third quarter of Friday night's loss to the New Orleans Hornets and did not return.

Marks traveled with the team to New Jersey, but wore a protective boot on his right ankle and did not practice. He is listed as day-to-day for the remaining three games of the road trip.

Marks' absence means Marcus Camby is the only center available versus a Nets team that features 7-foot center Brook Lopez.

Joel Przybilla, whose expected season debut was derailed by a stomach virus, is not with the team and will not play against the Nets, though he may join up with the team later in the trip.

Rudy Fernandez, who suffered a bruised pubic bone during Friday night's game, practiced with the team Saturday night in New Jersey, though he did appear to be in some pain.

The Trail Blazers will have 11 players available for Sunday night's game. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 PM on Comcast Channel 37 and 95.5 The Game.

Sounds lovely! Down to 11 players!

Is Marks on a 10-day? If so, it may spell the end of the line for him.

As for Rudy...damn!

Bruised pubic bone?
I think the medical term is "Vaginitis."

J/K

Actually I still like Rudy, and normally I wouldn't diss him like that, but knowing how some of you think, I thought I might as well throw that out there.
