There is some speculation out there on Rudy Fernandez. Some are concerned about his body language and don't like the overall vibe Rudy is producing. Could there be concerns on his end on how he fits with the blazers? How much playing time he might end up? What his overall role will be? Or could it be he is just tired?

I will just say this. I won't jump to conclusions. But the blazers owe it to Rudy to put him in the best position to succeed. Unless you can prove to me otherwise, this is a guy who gave up a lot more money to come play for the Portland Trail Blazers. He gave up european stardom to accept a role playing position in the nba and with the blazers. If the blazers can't guarantee him the kind of time he is going to need to make the biggest statement possible going into his contract negotiations. They need to trade him so he can.

Thoughts?

He's just tired. He was pretty enthusiastic about his new responsibilities. I don't see any reason for him to be upset when they gave him what he wanted.

I don't really understand what you're complaining about.

There is speculation in the media from a person or two that Rudy likes to put points on your face.

Seriously... if any Blazer pulls a Sergio this year it will be Rudy. I almost wished we would have traded him because his value will drop if he becomes a bad apple. I can't see his playing time increasing this year. (Though Outlaw could also be the target of reduced minutes) Instead of working hard and earning the minutes I think it may be the Euro way to sulk and complain. I hope not though. I like him a lot... but it's about the team not just his playing time.

I heard that his aura isn't glowing at a healthy color. Pretty lame. I say trade him now.

Personally, I don't feel like the Blazers "owe" him anything. He CHOSE to come to the NBA, knowing full well what he was giving up in Europe. By that same token, Sergio did the same thing...do (did) you feel like the Blazers owe(d) him anything?

Perhaps he has yet to discover chipotleway.

You don't think Rudy knows his value will drop if he acts out? If Rudy's value really drops we can just let him go. Rudy should be the one worried about his value dropping.

I think Rudy Fernandez is going to turn the Blazers into a socialist team. I heard that on Glenn Canzano!
You must spread some reputation around before giving it to westknob again. Freaking hilarious.

thank you ikedog! Typical Rudy Fernandez mindset "spread some reputation!" Before you know it, our colors will be Red and... WAIT A MINUTE!!:ohno:

I never understood this nickname. I mean seriously, what happened to the Spanish Armada? (rhetorical)

95.5's morning show glossed them "Spanish Fly", and I thought that nickname was much more fitting, but it unfortunately never caught on.

this thread fails.
Rudy is fine, didn't you see him on his interviews jokin around w/the other guys.
