Is there anyway this is a money thing?

Is he looking for a big dollar extension possibly?

Most of you know much more than I about how that works under the cap or whatever.

But this did happen the day after LMA and Roy extension have been talked about by the team.

Maybe he just wants to be taken care of.

He's locked into his rookie deal for 3 more years. He can't be extended until after the 2010-11 season, and even then, he doesn't get paid on that extension until 2011-12.
 
I think that the most likely scenario is that Rudy is insecure and voicing doubts...but not as furious as the report indicates.

When this news broke Rudy was boning the hottest woman you could ever imagine and her nearly as hot friend while drinking Cristal. He's not gonna be hitting the internet when it's evening party time in Europe.

You know I view this with skepticism. Every time the Blazers have started getting good the media has tried to rip this team apart with every tool at their disposal. It happened when Clyde was here, it happened with the Pippen team.

I actually view Rudy and Turkoglu as compatible. There is nothing wrong with alternating posessions and attack method with those guys out on the floor. So I call bullshit.

Just a few weeks ago Rudy was distraught about his play off performance and was apologizing to the fans. He really sounded like a team first player and put a lot more blame on his own shoulders than he deserved.

26 minutes a game is a ton for a first year player unless they're a high lottery pick on a losing team. Plus he clearly hit the rookie wall mid-season. He was so obviously fatigued by the schedule I can't imagine he'd want more minutes until he at least builds more endurance.

Why would he turn right around and be arrogant enough to demand more minutes and a trade?!? It's completely counter to what he we know he said at the end of the season.

I agree. I think famous, millionaire, play boys should make it a priority to answer to every single rumor about them within 2 hours on their blogs.

If not they should be released from the team to teach the other a lesson.

I'm not a link guy at all.....but.....link? Or, at least just TELL me where you heard this. That will appease me. :)

I love Rudy and I think he will only get better. He's a big deal in Portland. It would be a real let down for the PR dept and the city of Portland if he truly is unhappy and wants to leave. He is BELOVED here.

I have had to pull myself away from Camp Rudy to deal with a host of reports rounding the corner. It seems many are intent on scooping news that I will demand a trade if Hedo Turkoglu is obtained by the Trail Blazers.

These are mere flim-flam stories, and nothing but shams and lies!

But let me hypothetically state that if Hedo is obtained, the Asia Minor native might pull apart the Blazers in a major way. Just look at what he is doing to Peja! Further, Hedo is infamous for eating pizza just before a match.

This is unheard of, and I frown upon it. It belies a lack of professional intent. And as Sergio and I have shown, chicken strips and tapas (French fries) should be the preferred pregame meal!
