Casey mentioned in some podcast a while back that Lillard was very upset that this got out and they he hadn't told anyone about it. He didn't want an excuse. I also recall Dame telling a story to Ant about how he's coaching Simons to play through pain and telling him how to ask out only if his play becomes a detriment to the team. Perhaps misguided, but Dame is a bit old school in these things. And he's played through quite a few injuries over his career so it wouldn't surprise me if he were doing the same now.

That said, he had a similar bad slump last season in April and turned it around completely after having candid convos and re-focusing sessions with his guy Beckner.

If he's been drinking like a fish all these years, he's a great example of a functional alcoholic.

Btw, sometimes I wonder if Dame has ever seen some of these "drinks like a fish" posts and thinks "wtf??"

There is a 0.3% chance that a 37% 3-point shooter will go 2-24 or worse - at least if he were a binomial distribution.

So you can expect this to happen to Dame about 2+ times per year. And you can expect Aldo Trapani to whine about it 200+ times per year.
 
That was as elevated as I've seen Dame get in a long time on that dunk attempt. Danny "Lemon" Marang is probably the so called Monster.
