Rumors of a New 3G iPhone

This has been rumored since the original iPhone came out but it started to heat up at the beginning of May because most Apple and AT&T stores are on low on supply, including the Apple online store which states "Ships: Currently Unavailable".
Now it has been confirmed gizmodo.com: iPhone 3G Launch Date Confirmed
3G is officially in but there are still rumors that it will have a bigger battery and true GPS too.

This is great for me. My T-Mo plain is up in June and I've been planing on getting an iPhone since they came out. June also marks the month that Apple will release update 2.0 which will allow users to download applications (manny of them free) such as AIM and games.

3G is impressive technically, but implemented by AT&T, it doesn't live up to its potential. I have a 3G blackjack, and web browsing is bursty; you get big chunks of www pages loaded in spurts with long delays in between.

Now they are saying it will be shorter and 22% thinner. I imagine the screen will be the same size as the current model, if not bigger.

AT&T just upgraded their 3G service, yesterday I believe.

Damn sucks for all those people who bought the original Iphone for like double the price just about a year ago. especially the ones camping outside stores to get their hands on it lol.
