Running list of prospects meeting/working out with Portland

We don’t have to win 2023 championship or bust. We have a chance for a rookie to grow into potential in a couple years. Dame won’t drop off a cliff before then.

Been saying the same thing. FA don't sign here, unless it's an amount that handcuffs the team. Trades won't provide All-stars when you have marginal value to offer up. The only way this team will acquire top talent, or could have in the past, is to make better draft picks. And after his off-season surgery, I'd say Dame has several years of highly productive play.

Looks like we'll get an interview as well. Been a while since we saw these. Happy to see the normal draft process resume after two years of Covid interruptions.

He looks like he could be a Curry brother, or at least cousin or something.

Kinda hope Daniels is drafted before the Blazers can get him so that can dash the Blazers trade for OG and they can hopefully take and keep Murray for themselves.

Both will be gone by 7.

Dame was there too!

How do you figure? The top 3, Ivey, Murray and Daniels?
I can't see the guy with the biggest superstar potential in the draft falling out of the top six and that's Sharpe. I know today a lot of people had him falling to us but I just really doubt that happens. If it did, taking Sharpe would definitely be the homerun swing that people are saying Cronin wants to take. I don't think Murray is that homerun swing, to be honest. I think if Murray is there the bigger swing would be trading back to 13 and 15 where you take the two guys with the highest ceilings.

Or you lose out on a stud and grab a Swanigan and a Travis Outlaw. Use the 7th pick and rely on your scouting to make a good pick.

Just my view. Seems like Daniels is rising, and there's lots of film on Murray and Ivey, whereas Sharpe is just an enigma. I just have a gut feeling that teams are going to shy away from him, and he'll be the guy sitting there at 7.

I can't see the Blazers passing on an efficient-scoring power forward who can shoot 40% on 3-pointers (Murray) if he's available.

Hello,

When was the last champion that didn't have a starter or near 6th man providing a significant impact on the court on a rookie contract?

Dallas?

It seems to me, if we want to compete, we need one. No tram will ever trade one, so we need to hit in the draft.

I would like us to try to trade down for 9 and 20 or 25( havent a clue on that)
And use the 9 in the draft. Use 20 and Bledsoe and for go Grant.

Daniels’ comment on Ingles: “ … plays the right way.” Basic. Not an earth-shaking comment, but I like hearing exactly that. Daniels and Murray sound right.
