Pete Carroll needs to retire

Too bad for Dame. Wilson would really be a good get for the Raiders turn that franchise around.
Meh. Carr is fine. He just gets dicked around a lot with all the changes. I think if Gruden wouldn't have been fired and Henry Ruggs wouldn't have been a moron they would have made the playoffs this year.

We have cap space this offseason and can move some things around. They need to solidify the right side of the line, grab a wide receiver to stretch the field and an impact linebacker.

I think Carr is a good quarterback, I just question his situational awareness. It always feels like he's trying to "win the down" regardless of the situation. Like, if the Raiders are down 7 with 50 seconds left on their own 20 and he drops back to pass--if he doesn't see a deeper pass option he likes, he'll check it down to the running back for a 5-6 yard gain. Which is great most of the game, but a waste in that circumstance. And while he is a good deep ball thrower, I think he's too conservative generally--unless someone is breaking wide open deep right off the bat, he'll pull his eyes down quickly and start looking for his checkdowns or shallower routes.

To me, he's a technically excellent, smart, accurate quarterback who just lacks the juice that top-ten guys have. He's a classic "Gruden Grinder." But it'll be hard to upgrade on him, because to do so, you need someone in the top tier.

He definitely can struggle with consistency and don't disagree with what you said. I would put him at 10-13 in terms of QB ranking right now.

I still think they can win with him. He has had like 5 offensive coordinators in his career. He is a qb you really need to protect because he can be a little spooked since he broke his leg in his 3rd or 4th year when we were like 12-4 and he was in the mvp consideration.
