I almost felt sorry for him, seeing as he's never done anything to me personally, nor have I ever had any emotions regarding what he's done to other people, I don't see why I should be happy watching him die.

Yeah, I'm not going to judge him based on what the media tells me. Obviously he did a lot of awful things, but I've never seen videos of the people he indirectly murdered, so for me watching him die is going to make me more sympathetic with him.

Well I think he did enough to deserve the death sentence. He had a lot of people killed, more than some other people who get the death sentence do. Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean that he wasn't a terrible person and didn't deserve it. It was his own country that sentenced him wasn't it? They would know.

well, so much for 30 days from the 27th. He is dead, and I cant say that I miss him. Suitable death for a terrible man.

I don't think he was a bad guy per-say. Unlike other leaders, like Hitler and Stalin, I think he didn't really know what he was doing. He was insane, crazy and undoubtedly had no right being the leader of a country.

Saddam, like Hitler had the military operations improve the economy. Just like WWI did with the United States, it basically took us out of the Great Depression

Kim Jong-Il is way worse, he's far more psychotic than Saddam, and what has he done for North Korea? At least Saddam did some positive things for his country.

BCB, I think you are not thinking of military as a business. All of the military police you refering too are people. Those people are doing their jobs. Without this police there are no jobs. Jobs = Economy.. I don't really see how he brainwashed his people, its hard to do it on such a wide-scale. And for murdering innocent people, how many times was he almost assassinated? 10 times? The people he killed were the people and the relatives of those people who tried to kill him. It was, more or less, almost an act of self defense
