Dont we still need to spend 20ish million to reach the minimum? Also we need at least 13 players. Anyone know what the date is for either of those?

90% of cap, so 53M ish. We're at ~40M, so we must add about 13M at least
I have a feeling Meyers will get some of that (8M?) and we'll sign one more big FA, then fill out the rest with scrubbies.
Meyers wouldn't affect the cap in 2015-16
Thanks; I shouldn't talk cap space, because I'm an idiot at cap matters.

I thought the cap was much higher than that
If the Blazers were to end up $22M short, they'd have to divide $22M among the players on the roster and pay it to them.
The players won't mind.
Ah...thats it? No biggie

Yes and I doubt we will have this problem anyway. I believe Olshey intends on spending all the capDont we still need to spend 20ish million to reach the minimum? Also we need at least 13 players. Anyone know what the date is for either of those?
I suggested they could take Joe Johnson's $24M expiring contract from the Nets. You get the cap space back in a year as if you signed nobody. And you get a SG/SF who can get his own shot and defend. You probably can get the Nets to cough up something else to sweeten the deal, since you're doing them a huge favor.

I could get behind that. Doesn't BOS have nearly every one of their picks though?I suggested they could take Joe Johnson's $24M expiring contract from the Nets. My question is, is there a date it needs to be at 90%? Is it before the season? Is it before the end of NEXT season?

Are there any other luxury tax teams who need to get rid of albatross contracts?

Golden State which is why they are trying to shop Lee
Joe Johnson would be an excellent mentor for CJ and Crabbe..I think this would be a good fit. He's also said to be a high character, locker room guyThe reason I don't like this option is I don't think Lee can play very well. He's been hurt a lot and only played 18 MPG when he did play for GSW. The benefit of Johnson is that he can play and take some pressure off of Dame (make them pay for double/triple teaming him), and he's an ironman (35 MPG last season).

The Cavs are considering trading for him. WOW. What a huge move that would be.
10.5M non-guaranteed contract of Bendan Haywood and Varajao.
The deal would save the Nets tens of $millions in luxury tax.

Luxury tax alone would be over a 100M, no?And would have Mr. Dan Gilbert shell out almost a quarter of a billion dollars next year
