It's not like Oden sucked; it's that he couldn't stay healthy. We thought we had a no-lose choice.

I just don't understand the constant rehashing of this... we made the wrong choice, it blew up in our face, and there's nothing that can be done.

This isn't salt in the wound, this is picking at the scab. Oden isn't on the team anymore, he hasn't played a game for Portland in over three years. The draft was six years ago. While Durant is one of the best players in the league, he hasn't reached Jordan status yet. The only way this would be even remotely similar is if we had chosen Hakeem and he ended up only playing one season in four. We took a player who was considered a once-in-a-generation center. His body betrayed him. It's done.

If we drafted Durant, Aldrige would be an underweight 5. Oden made trading Zach for peanuts not ony palatable, but delicious.

Eh, Roy/Durant/Aldridge/Prz would have been just fine for the time being.

It is what it is. As Nate said a couple of times. Rehashing this is not going to change history. The bottomline is we were not supposed to be successful with that draft pick. If were supposed to, it would have been. The interesting thing is Blazers got very lucky that year just getting the number one pick. In the end, it was fools gold. That's fine. Let's move on and focus on the future.

I think it's more sad to see Mo Lucas walking around in that vid.

Do you write for the Daily Cliché? Howd'ja fit so many in? What a stoic! You are a serious guy!

Kind of funny to see Durant talking about low-cost sneakers. How much do his shoes cost? I don't recall him going the Marbury route.

Luke was a quality individual top to bottom! Like that kick ass favorite uncle! Miss him.
