No, I’m not a reporter. I work in healthcare.
I always figured you worked at Nike.

Who is that guy? Obviously she had a chance. She was one of 3 finalists and had 2 interviews for Pete's sake. Those multi millionaires and one multi billionaire aren't going to waste their time with someone they aren't legitimately considering FFS.https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cb...ke-hiring-chauncey-billups-as-head-coach/amp/
"They dangled a woman's name in front of us to make us think she had a chance and turned around and hired a man with rape allegations against him.”
I like your posts. Screw those other guys! Thanks. Glad you like the avatar. I was under the impression that bringing interesting points of view to the board and letting others know what is being published about the Blazers was part of the mission here. Perhaps you believe the goal is only to post things that are flattering to the Blazers and their players?
This isn't BlazersEdge.https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cb...ke-hiring-chauncey-billups-as-head-coach/amp/

We don't have to elevate every blowhard on the internet who has an opinion.
Or, Billups was Lillard’s choice after Kidd withdrew and there was no way in hell Olshey was going to risk upsetting his star point guard.
Oh.. looks like people did the right thing but got scolded for it anyhow…
my response personally would have been to thank those who were aware enough to know to move the conversation to the OT on their own without needing direction from the mods… but hey… thats just me…
You’re joking, right? There are plenty of reasons why they might put a woman in the final round of interviews, the most obvious being they want to look like a progressive, open-minded organization that supports women in the workplace.Who is that guy? ...not a joke. Unlike this nonsensical narrative that you're implying about the Blazers organization being some untrustworthy women hating workplace. Give it a rest already -- there are plenty of other professional (and amateur) sports organizations with an actual history of these types of behaviors for you to join a crusade against.![]()
Doesn't seem like it. Seems like she cares mostly how well the team is doing as a business. Obviously sometimes those two goals match and sometimes they are in conflict with each other. Was wondering, does Jody exert her will on team operations (i.e. Olshey)?

Like whether or not to go into the lux tax. There is a time to go over the cap and a time to not go over the cap. The Blazers have a top 5 player in the league. It's time to go over the cap, and the lux tax. Balance sheet be damned.Doesn't seem like it. Seems like she cares mostly how well the team is doing as a business. I'll not soon forget when Paul tossed in the Whitsitt towel, lamenting, "Our economic model is broken."

I miss Paul. I think the crux of Dame's gripes is that he's not sure where we are at. Are we all in or are we in the middle? If we're in the middle, he doesn't want to be here so we may as well bottom out and trade him somewhere where the team is all-in.
If Paul was still alive there is no doubt we would be all-in, or at the very least we would be after a quick conversation with Dame.
Some call it healthcare. Some call is spiritualcare. No, I’m not a reporter. I work in healthcare.
I even learned how to pronounce it. CAT-er Waul-ing.I had to look up that word, nicely done!
Heck, I wouldn't object to him expressing a thoughtful opinion on why Harmon has the potential to be a better coach...that's perfectly fair. It's the pontificating and spin doctoring that is getting on peoples' nerves.
Supporting Billups doesn't make someone a "rape apologist" and supporting Harmon doesn't make you a "lynching apologist."
