He’s been around for years (he’s a year or two older than us) and he kicks ass. His wife (the lovely Tanya Rae) is a helluva musician in her own right. Junior invented the “Guitsteel” guitar, combining a regular guitar with a pedal steel guitar. Ungainly contraption that sits on a stand in front of him but he plays it like it was part of him. He also writes some truly inspired lyrics. My understanding is that he refuses to play the “big machine” corporate games and is just fine being a big star in Austin while playing small venues around the country. He is well worth exploring further.
since my hernia surgery I've been thinking of getting one of those guitar holding stands for playing...keep the weight of the guitar off my groin. (it's already weighted down enough!)

Holy Crap !...I remember the first time I heard that song. I was in a bar and "Blue" came on the juke box...I swore I was listening to a Patsy Cline song that I had never heard before.

L. Rimes has pretty much been wacko ever since then...still love the song.

Gordon Lightfoot - In the Early Morning Rain

This song was big in the mid 60s when young people use to go to "Coffee Houses".
