FX just bought the rights to "Ted". Literally no idea how they could make it as funny as it was unless it was on a premium channel, like HBO or Showtime

The premise seems guaranteed to produce a bad, bad movie.

FX is the best non premium channel, if anyone can do it, they can.

Yes, they're quite liberal with what kind of content they allow and I'm sure Fox wasn't going to let McFarlane go to HBO, Showtime, etc.

Fox and Murdoch are sooo liberal.

Wait. They are, aren't they, in terms of what the Fox networks allow on TV.

Without Fox/Murdoch, non-premium TV would mostly suck.

What would anyone who has seen the movie compare it to? I've heard negative reviews from critics but positive reviews from friends. However, the friends I have who have seen it are the same kind of friends who are more than willing to watch a Family Guy episode they've already seen four times and laugh at it like they've never seen it.

(BTW - On the Fox Entertainmet Group sidenote, I turned on FX earlier, with my little nephew in the room, and Charlie Sheen's old sitcom was on. The premise for this gig was essentially Charlie Sheen's maid teaching him how to roll a joint. How the hell is that something that should be on network television? I'm a fairly liberal guy in the social context, but that got to me. It also seemed to be in direct conflict with the agendas of other Fox Entertainment Group's political programming.)

It was like if you combined Family Guy and South Park and said "we're not going to censor you on anything". Pretty ridiculous, but it's in demand right now.

Just got done seeing it with the GF. It was funny but not funniest move ever funny.

7.5/10
