Lame. Low hanging comedic fruit. Twice used in this thread already. Can't believe you waited THIS long to make that your 313th post! Send me a PM next time and we can work on some better ideas for Number 315.

Here's a look at how the Blazers will finish if they win the games against teams with lower percentage, and lose against teams with better percentage -

View attachment 18811

They'll finish 46-36, 0.561. (The Blazers are currently tied with Denver - I gave them a L for the one game they play against Denver to be conservative/negative.)

A 0.561 winning percentage would currently put them in the 5th seed.

Lots of tough games to finish off the year, but if they take care of business against the lower tiered teams, and pick up a few 'surprise' wins against the upper tiered teams, the Blazers will be sitting in a good position.

I'm excited about the potential of this team. I think Nurk is going to finish strong the remainder of the year and the Blazers will be the team nobody wants to play come playoff time!

I'm predicting we do better than that.

That is a Popovich idea. I think teams striving for higher seeds will give their stars extended minutes as their berths are revealed. Teams cast to the last two spots may be content to just join the dance and entertain the rest idea.
For example: Who really wants to play GS or Toronto in the first round.? Once a team in the top two seeds capitalizes and wins on the opponents court, count the round in favor of the dominate seed.

The Lakers actually started it. I remember when they rested Jabar and a couple other superstars against Portland toward the end of the season. That was quite a while ago.

They are going over a 25 years rest so far. I wonder when he comes back.

Just realized that tonight against our Lakers and tomorrow against NYC.......these are the last two opponents that are UNDER .500 for the last 5 weeks of the season. Just thought I'd toss that out there.

Who's Lakers? And are you buying your salsa made in NY city?

So far I'm 6-4 on my predictions of the schedule. Thats not bad.

After OKC and NO, we have the Grizz twice and the Mavs once. we could beat them with their star talent.

Portland could very easily lose 3 out of 4 now that they've dropped 2 in a row at home. That #3 spot isn't looking very secure just yet.
You sir speak the truth and do not allow your judgement to be clouded! Props.

You know, great point, I never thought of that.

Now we're hoping Westbrook never gets it when someone says "Hey, the last two minutes are really important. You should play smarter at that juncture."

Not at all. If we don't win 1 of the next 2, I don't think we get it.
