About 2 hours ago. It's sad this isn't a big deal anymore. No one was injured and the shooter was wrestled to the ground and is in custody.

As I read the story, I caught myself being more shocked at the fact K mart was still open than a school had a shooter inside

That K Mart is not open, I think that's why they're using that parking lot.

Ya it’s all boarded up. Not open anymore.

Hopefully there will be a former Beaver football player to save the day if anyone wants to shoot up a sheep farm.

Here we go but I really don't give a fuck:

Didn't need to be a good guy with a gun to stop the bad guy with one...

A block away from my old house. The football coach is a hero.

Just reaffirming my decision to move as a good one...

The shooter was wrestled to the ground by the Parkrose football coach, a graduate of Jesuit and the U of O. He played on the Ducks football team catching passes from Mariota and getting a win in the Rose Bowl.

Coffee. must have coffee...

So @Mediocre Man was also @PtldPlatypus neighbor?

Don't toss the Keureg! I fixed ours, and it didn't even need parts.

(Next time just cut open some pods, and toss 'em in boiling water. Be like camping. Lol)

The pump went out on it. I can hear it. Im heading to Fry's today to return a wireless booster that didnt boost shit. Ill probably pick one up if they have them there, which I think they do.

Hey. You know anyone looking to sell a solid extended passenger van in Salem? IM on the hunt and need to purchase by next weekend. I have my car sold already, but when im searching, it seems there are just as many in Salem as there are in Portland, even though the population is drastically different.

Just trying to avoid the NO's of the world and find a for sale by owner one, cause most are at the used dealerships.

I don't right at the moment. Those sell pretty quick around here, with all the migrant workers. (Seriously). They load 'em up, and head to the farm.... I seem to remember seeing a bunch at a couple lots though. I'll check into it....

The K mart isn't open--been closed for a few months now. The kids were bussed over there because it's a big empty parking lot.

For us, it was a pretty big deal. My kids (one at the high school, one at the middle school) were in lock down/lock out for multiple hours. My daughter had a mild emotional break down after a couple hours of having to silently hide in the dark and try to keep calm while police investigated everything to ensure everyone was safe.

The reason it wasn't a bigger deal than it was is because the resource officers and the football coach acted swiftly, because concerns about the student's situation and mental state were identified and shared appropriately, because people saw the signs and were adequately prepared to respond.

Wait, what? It's a block away from my old house as well.
Are you my long lost brother? 'cause I also lived a block away. I gave my brother this nickname of "Mediocre Man".

Can I throw a potato wrapped in tin foil in the campfire?

Hope all is well in the household. Things like that can have lasting effects.
