Let's keep the speculation going. Scouts from Pacers, Hornets, Celtics and two from the Blazers (Rudy Fernandez anyone?) are also here

Btw, they were playing Philly. Who knows, the scouts could have been there looking at a player like Speights or Hawes.

We play them our 3rd game of the season! The advanced scouts are already busy working!

Randolph, Speights, Turiaf ... any of those guys could help this team.

I am not so sure about that. Randolph has the most upside but a questionable motor. Speights is like a poor mans version of Zbo. He doesn't play except on the ofensive end. Turiaf is extremely limited in how many minutes he can play, but brings toughness.

Let clarify my point then. Any of those guys could help the team more than Jeff pendergraph with a torn ACL, Greg with tendonitis bad enough to keep him out of action until maybe Christmas, Camby with a groin pull and a hip pointer, and Joel with two knee surgeries on the same torn pattellar tendon in the last 10 months. I'm not talking about trading for some kind of savior at the 4 or the 5, just a guy who can play at a reasaonable level as a backup at the 4 or the 5 and who can hopefully stay somewhat healthy.

Maybe. But at the same time, if that is the situation, what's the point? Is it worth sacrificing long term talent pool for a short term fix player who won't get you anywhere when playoff time comes?

Who's talking about sacrificing the whole talent pool? I'm talking about keeping LMA, Greg and Camby and adding a young 4/5 with some upside and probably letting Joel go in a trade.
