Seriously.... wtf?

Dallas burns me EVERY TIME I PICK THEM! :sigh:

Same with San Diego.

God I hate parody in the NFL.

I had a terrible week. Right now I'm 4/13

That Cowboys game hurt today... dunno how i'm gonna face work tomorrow.

I lost $50 for trusting in the fucking 49ers, but won $200 thanks to the Chargers haha.

I have been repeatedly fucked by the Cowboys, Niners, Chargers, and Titans.

speaking of repeated f&cking, Roethlisberger comes back this week.

I think the Chargers, over the past 7 years or so, have been the biggest waste of talent I've ever seen in the NFL. They find ways to be disappointing.

to be fair, how much of that is due to Marty Schottenheimer and Norvel Turner?

Front office turmoil, oversized ego's and giving away Drew Brees has doomed that team.

They certainly aren't the 93' Chargers that everybody grew to love.

College Football OWNED NFL this weekend.

Can't wait to see a playoff system, hopefully this lifetime.

At least every one got killed in the pick 'em this week. First losing record I've had all season.

I think coaching has been a real problem. It's definitely not all coaching, though. In 2006, I believe, the Chargers had a 21-17 lead on the Patriots in the playoffs. They intercepted Brady in the final couple of minutes, which should have salted the game away...except the player who picked it off decided to try running it back and got stripped. The Patriots recovered and went on to the winning touchdown. The incredible thing is that I've seen footage of Schottenhimer, just before that game started, warning his defense that if they got an interception at the end of the game, with the lead, to just go down. I think that footage was on NFL Network's "Top 10 Coaches Who Never Won A Super Bowl" when they were discussing Schottenheimer.

The Chargers just find or encounter ways not to reach the Super Bowl. Sometimes it's bad coaching, sometimes inexcusable player errors, sometimes key injuries at the worst time. It's pretty remarkable, IMO.

As for giving away Brees, I don't think that was a big deal. Phillip Rivers was the smart choice...Brees was coming off an injury that most doctors didn't think he could recover fully from. Rivers has proven to be a top-tier quarterback. They couldn't have kept both, cost-wise. The Colts dealt Marshall Faulk for not a huge amount (they got a useful draft pick, I believe, but considering Faulk proved to be best running back since Barry Sanders, in my opinion, it was virtually nothing) and that didn't doom the Colts.

I strongly disagree that Rivers is a top-tier QB. When people say that it drives me nuts.

Drew Brees and Eli Manning both have hardware, I think that bothers Rivers.

Rivers is number 4. Brady/Manning, Brees, Rivers

Brees, Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Favre, Manning, Ryan, Flacco, Cutler and then we can start discussing Rivers. There's still a few more QB's I'd currently have though. Shit, maybe even Romo over Rivers.

I hope you are joking.

I'm not. Rivers has been overrated from the get-go. The guy makes so many mistakes that shouldn't happen that I just don't rate him very highly at all. His teams under-achieving is just more proof.

I currently have Brees higher than Manning and Brady as well.

Yeah, that's pretty logical. The most efficient QB in the league the past 2 and a half years "makes so many mistakes" but guys like Cutler, Favre and Romo who single-handedly lose games for their teams are great QBs. The Chargers underachieving has very little to do with Rivers.

Don't feel bad. I'm in a national handicapping pool based out of Vegas against hundreds of handicappers that I'm still the overall leader in going into last week.

It combines CFB and NFL, and after going 75% in the college football ranks leaving nearly everyone else in my dust Saturday, I too only went 4 of 13 for this week in the NFL and completely allowed my competition to catch up to me. So it happens to the best of us. The NFL is getting just about impossible to predict any longer with refs having complete control over impacting 3rd downs plays or drives to get into field goal range in the final minute.

Hell, I just happened to watch one game (think it was GB vs. Washington) where the refs single-handedly called two unnecessary calls - one for defensive holding on 3rd down and one pass interference on 2nd and 15 on uncatchable balls with defense that happens every down - and they gave a win to Washington without allowing them to even earn it by playing the game. It's getting pretty bad when the outcomes are based on the guys making $60K/year.

Only Brees, Manning, Brady and Rodgers have been better than Rivers. As much as I love Favre, he is and always will be a gunslinger. Flacco looks lost 30% of the time on offense and Cutler fails to make reads. And i'm not even mentioning that ridiculous arrogance that helps him lose games.

Is Rodgers really better than Rivers? He had a good year last year, but anybody that takes 50 sacks can't blame it on the offensive line. Great QBs get that ball out of there quick. Rodgers also has no track record. Two pretty solid years, but Rivers has better stats and has won multiple playoff games.

1. Manning 2. Brees 3. Brady 4. Rivers 5. Rodgers

Seriously, look at Rivers' stats and watch him play.

bam!

Favre needs to retire. Plain and simple.

Romo needs to get back to fucking Jessica Simpson.

Cutler needs to..... go back to Denver?
