<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>After dropping out of the rotation, Sean Williams also dropped out of the NBA Rookie Rankings. But after Tuesday night's 11 point, 7 rebound, 8 block stat line, the 6'-10" PF is back in the top five. ESPN's David Thorpe raves: "Sean Williams didn't just block eight shots against Sacramento, he shocked people". Thorpe ranks him at #5, John Hollinger at #2. Dave D'Alessandro says that Williams is going to change the way the Nets play.

lol in the Rookie Ranking they laugh of McRoberts:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Trail Blazers win streak is at eight games and maybe you can thank Josh McRoberts (POR) for their success. The last time he played was the last time they lost.</div>
who on this board wanted Nets to draft him?? and pass on Williams. sounds obscene right now.

I liked Sean but had serious concerns about his trouble at BC, and so I was leaning toward Big Baby. I'm glad we took the risk.

Hey GMJigga, Big Baby is a solid player, so you're safe
I wander which Nets "expert" was pulling for McRoberts? I recall there was some or a few when we were at bbb.net

I love what Dave McMenamin said about him:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Williams' line against the Kings on Tuesday: 11 points, seven rebounds, one assist, two steals ... EIGHT BLOCKS! Reading across his line is like going to a party and assessing the atmosphere and being pleased by the hors d'oeuvres, drinks and music but then being TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY by the Wii Bowling. (Don't knock it till you try it.)</div>

BTW, Sean is 7th on those Rookie Rankings, and he's also leading Rookies in Field Goal Percentage.

Williams is first among rookies in field goal percentage, blocks, and dunks (21 in 20 games). He is second in PER. He is seventh among all players in blocks, first among all players in blocks per 48, twelfth among all players in field goal percentage.

Thus far it's been a good risk. Net office did their work, like they did on Marcus a year ago. Felt it was isolated incidents.
