Aright, first off, L - Magloire is nothing like Moore, haha. Magloire's a bruiser, not very athletic, not fast, no jumper, okay shotblocker, and a good rebounder. Mikki is a fast, pretty athletic hustler player, he can knock down the shot, but ain't that great at defense.

I don't believe Sean should necessarily be the 1st big off the bench, tho, maybe the 2nd or 3rd. But i do believe that if he is doing good, he deserves more minutes for his hard work.

I never said magloire was like moore. I said i am hoping that Allen will be this season's less athletic Moore.

Gotta be kidding me. This forum turned into a bunch newbies with bad opinions. This team is built to win now. We can't be testing players out and letting them learn the ropes. If Sean doesn't prove things in his allotted time, he needs to cheer on his teammates and watch how the game is supposed to be played.

Well. The injuries hurt the Nets last year. Remove that factor and without it they're basically back to where they were 2 years ago which was good but not great. That's built to win but not win enough. I'm not one of the cognizati that believes Collins "little things" are anywhere near the "big things" (like rebounding! for god sakes) that they need to win. The most logical place to *attempt* an upgrade is to work him out of the minutes. How...I suppose there are many ways. But if just *one* of the recent big additions pans out the team imho would be better off. That's why I say roll them dice...this is not a perennial 55-60 win team. Where *else* is improvement going to come from? Trade our lesser players for someone elses? Trade our stars for someone else's?

Now, I'm not saying it's Sean Williams. But some improvement is needed. I'd play Collins 10 minutes at best and try the others.

That's me though.

The thing is, the veteran bigs we have now arent getting the job done while the rookie is sitting on the bench. Now Im not saying that Williams is so good he should be starting even though he has only proven to block shots, but rather when the other bigs are stinking it up(Boone and Magloire in particular), then the kid should be given at least a minute or two out and see if he could do better, and if he shows promise and progress, then increase his PT. and this team is built to win now, true; however, we also have some pieces for the future to consider.

Absolutely. And the future includes playoff-time. What team do we want then? Again, let's start developing toward that.

OOOOH I see. That makes way more sense now, now that I think about it in a different way... haha.

I still think Sean should get some minutes. If the Nets want him to develop at all, I believe he should be out there. He's definitely the best shotblocker on the team, and he's shown it a few games. That alone should give him a few more meaningful minutes on the court.

How I see it: Sean Williams can be our Varejao (but less annoying, more atheletic) in the post season.

Remember how much Varejao's hustle annoyed the heck out of us? Sean displayed that hustle the night he played, and then some. With more playing time, he can get more used to the system, and really mess up the other team with his incredible hustle and and athelticism.

Before that happens though, he needs to start playing now.

I disagree with the Varejao statement. Varejao is a good rebounder. Sean will be out of postion from trying to block every shot. ;D

Haha, fair enough. But honestly Sean grabbed some nice o-rebounds, and I imagine he would be a good rebounder playing next to Collins. He grabbed like 4 rebounds almost on atheleticism alone against Toronto.
