Players only broadcasts are a joke to the media industry. Maybe we should have them televise games between ESPN broadcasters and TNT and let the players only do those games.

The coolest thing I could imagine would be to point those fancy microphones at the floor so we essentially hear everything the players are saying without any commentators at all. Of course, it'd probably have to be rated R broadcasts, and they'd probably need a sneaker squeak eliminator, but still, how great would that be...?

I really don't have much feeling of difference either way. These guys are fine. Rice was a clown.
Absolutely they need to get the adds off the score window. They had a way of adding it to the top that i didn't mind. It's called a tree or something? @HCP can you help here? But obviously they know the second that we are waiting to watch a free throw we take a quick look at things like Fouls and Time Outs or Score. Which is exactly the time they cover the score window with an add. I'm trying to get the info on how many time outs Stotts is trying to waste and all i get is a Buffalo Wild Wings add.

When you pretend you don't know how to spell ad, use green font.

Why does it matter. Like it or not, sounds like the team will be sold anyway.

3 addvertisements for your IQ, green boy!

They have both improved significantly from season one. Lamar has stopped trying to be a joker and gives pretty good analysis. It could be much much worse. Extend them both.

Kevin Calabro is terrible and should be replaced with someone else who has a deep voice, knows basketball, respects the Blazers, and can provide a description of the game with minimum errors. Calabro continues to fail to identify who has fouled, which foul, what number foul, and details of the foul. And he fails to report substitutions of players of both teams, plays being run, floor rotation patterns, off-ball movements to get open, and even obvious no-call fouls.

Instead, we hear as many as 5 times per game that Jake Layman played college ball at Maryland, that Zach Collins is only 21, that Simons is 19, that Seth is Steph's brother, etc, and often hear that we are in Seattle. He often misidentifies who made the basket, if he reports at all, and despite all the data assistants he has too rarely reports on key game parameters showing on the scoreboard.

Lamar Hurd is by far the leader of those 2, and it is time to get him a better partner for these broadcasts.

So I just ran this by the graphics department, That only happens one time a game every other game. So relax, get off your mom's couch, put down the Cheetos and stretch, live a little and take that time to start inflating your "girlfriend" #SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Oh, sorry.....Just ran this by my director of broadcasting , and he said thanks for the feedback. Always trying to improve the broadcast for RipCity.

That includes you mouth breathers!

Couldn't agree more. I hear a lot of casual fans have dropped off as well because of Seattlebro.

This.

He just won some award for best announcer! I'm getting used to him more and more. Even when he was a Sonic he was a bit shaky I thought but it seemed the whole association crowned him best of the best.
If he could call a team in SeaTac he'd leave us in a nano second!

Hurd is an absolute nerd. I don't like that.

Kevin is a tool who wishes he was still up in Seattle.

I miss Mike and Mike.

I wouldn't mind seeing Brooke and Holton try it out and see what they got. Or maybe Brooke and Jordan Kent? Or Kent and Holton?

I like Holton. Seems like a down-to-earth guy. And Brooke is a sweetheart with, IIRC, broadcasting experience....but I could be wrong there.

But I suppose it could be worse than Calabro and Hurd. I just want to try someone else; preferably people that have been here and know the team.

Calabro and Hurd are fine. They give more detailed description than Barrett and Rice, although I liked them too.

The fast talking is New York City style, but necessary to get in all the detail.
