He's a southern (and I mean SOUTHERN) gentleman that thinks SEC football is bigger than Jesus. He was once a sideshow for Chad Doing during the Oregon and Auburn game but I think he's a regular on the show now... like once a week.

Whats sad is people actually thought he was real. You could tell from the minute he started it was a gig.

It was really smashed when Dave Smith took a call from him under his REAL name and not the gimmick name. Plus, who is named Cockslaughter, and has a womans name and makes fun of people for having funny names?

Actually, from what I understand, he actually lives in Alabama....just does a show for a (I think) Dallas radio station. His disdain for Texas sure came through loud and clear this morning, though.

Lance Zierlein is a sports talk show host on KMBE 790 AM in Houston, Texas. He formerly hosted sports talk shows on KILT 610 and KGOW 1560 AM in Houston, Texas.

Lance Zierlein's career began at the age of twelve as the sports editor of the Rosenberg Middle School Town Crier. He graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in 1988. Following high school he attended Tulane University. After college there is a six-year gap where no one is quite sure what he did. He started in the Houston radio market on KILT and after a falling out with management[1] along with his co-host John Granato the two created a new station KGOW. In 2008 the morning drive time pair was voted "Best Talk Radio" by the Houston Press.[2]
Lance is well known in both the Houston market and nationally for his fantasy football knowledge.[3]
Lance is also an active blogger for the Houston Chronicle and publishes a fantasy newsletter and runs an accompanying fantasy news site called The Sideline View[4]


Lance is known for his multiple personalities that create the various characters present in the 1560 AM shows. Namely:
