Thankfully that nonsense is now over.
 
They'll be replaced by those who helped them escape. Gonna be some serious looks into that mess.
 
At least the Rangers were smart enough to Bring Him out Alive, to get info out of the fk. He will see solitary confinement after this B.S. Glad the other one was shot and removed from Earth........

Does NY have the Death Penalty, or is it like CA. where we had the death penalty but was suspended, then under moratorium, then decided last year, the Death Penalty was Unconstitutional..........give me a fkn break, Felons don't have too many rights.

How can the Death Penalty be not only unconstitutional but "Cruel and Unusual Punishment"???? Aren't the victims lives, being taken by Killers unconstitutional, once they break the law, they should loose all Constitutional rights, IMO....

On July 16, 2014, federal judge Cormac J. Carney of the United States District Court ruled that California's death penalty system is unconstitutional because it is arbitrary and plagued with delay. The state has not executed a prisoner since 2006. The judge stated that the current system violates the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment by imposing a sentence that “no rational jury or legislature could ever impose: life in prison, with the remote possibility of death.”
 
I believe the Death Penalty should be instituted all over this land for those who deserve. To add to that I think the victims survivors should have a say in the way the individual is snuffed out to include participating in the execution. Tired of seeing these assholes screaming about their "rights" as far as I'm concerned they lost their rights when they elected to do what they did. That goes for kidnappers, and rapists as well. Can't remember which one of those Manson bimbos was costing the state of California money to treat her cancer. The state wanted to send her home to die but Sharon Tates sister said hell no. Had they executed those clowns after proven guilty that would not have been an issue. Criminals in the murder, rape, kidnap groups have a right to a speedy trial, one short appeal, and carry out of sentence.

...^^^yup, been saying this for years. If you rape and kill my daughter, I no longer care about your "rights"...and as far as the punishment, just let me and my Louisville Slugger spend about 10 minutes in a locked room with him...it will be the most agonizing 10 minutes of his soon to be previous life.
 
I totally agree. Rights? Sorry but you lost your rights when your brain went into STUPID overdrive.
 
I don't believe in but maybe half of what I read on this net, but if half of what I read is true the authorities in that New York Institution need to make some radical changes. What kind of crap is permitting prisoners the "privilege" of cooking their own food. No one convicted of murder, rape, or kidnap deserves "priviliges" . And to those prison employees knowing how dangerous these men were yet aided them, if convicted need to be placed in the same area of the institution.
 
Executions should be quick...within 6 months of original conviction, allowing for a single appeal. That's more than ample chance compared to the victims. Executions should also be public.....televised, you tube, etc. I'm just a fan of hangings....they make the best public spectacle.
 
The guy was shot in the back running towards the tree line.
I'm kinda surprised the convict didn't make a move on the lone trooper and die going down with a fight.

And "they" may want to re-evaluate having female COs in male max security prisons.
These people, convicts and female COs are confined DAY after DAY with some prisoners having "jobs" and having the chance to talk and semi-mingle.....and believe it, not all the guys in prison look like ugly monsters and many are quite intelligent and capable of turning on the charm and sweet talk.


I remember in the very early 80s, a female CO was strangled and sexually mutilated by a convicted (for killing a couple of women) murderer....she had been supervising him as he was "working" alone in some chapel or something....he requested to see her regarding some supplies or something he needed and butchered her.
She was the first female CO to be killed on duty in a prison.
His name was Lemuel Smith...and I believe he's STILL alive, reading books, "enjoying" his meals...probably having a laugh or two here and there. No death penalty.
Ugh.....it's outrageous! And this is supposed to be a "civilized" country.

Things being the way they are someone will approach this clown about a book, eventually gets done as a TV movie, make a lot of money so he'll be able to buy more privileges for him self during his stay. These people should not be allowed to profiteer for their deeds. After getting information on how he and his accomplice pulled off the escape they should lock him up in solitary or transfer him to one of the Max prisons where any frills are prohibited.

Had to confess that I did not know what the Son of Sam Law was, I was across the pond when that business was going on. Having read the legal definition I'd have to think that it would but in this day and age who knows. That is another thing that pisses me off, guys like Scott Peterson getting protected areas in prison. Heard the cons have a nice reward for the one who takes him out. Then there was that Bollingbrook Illinois cop who murdered his wife and had another never found. He's probably in the same predicament. Piss on them, let 'em out in general pop and get what they gave. They made movies on both of those assholes. Another on is "White Collar" jails with people like Madhoff and Jesse Jackson junior served, put them in a regular prison so they get a more just come uppance. I knew a guy who did time here in Florida. He told me he was riding with a friend at night who made several pick ups. Said he did not know the man was stealing, I said damn obvious to me you should have booked after the first stop. Dude said he was convicted cause he did not have "deep pockets" After he got out he was hired to work for this doctor, ended up stealing tools from the man and jewelry from his girl friend. He told me he had merely borrowed such items. He ended up on a return trip. Knew a guy in Virginia who was a Fed Pen Corrections Officer prior to working with us. The hierarchy of the cons is something else.
