Second rounders?

If Cronin had any balls he’d take Bronny at 52 and get 2-3 more 2s from the lakers. Most of the league is probably fearful of disrespecting Lebron though. I miss 90s ball.

I disagree with Cronin's strategy. Seems to be trading 2nd round picks in a draft which is perceived as weak but seemed to have some really good players available at 34, so that he can get picks in future drafts that he thinks will be stronger? They may be stronger at the top but will they have as good second rounders? And isn't it better to get young guys right now and let them grow? Also, why didn't he at least tell us ahead of time he was going to trade all our picks so I would not be sitting here typing and speculating like a goddamn idiot???!!!

It's not like we have a ton of roster spots to fill for these marginal second round players.

If they don't like any of these players, makes sense to punt the cheap contracts to the future because we've traded literally all our seconds from 2025-2030 (jesus christ).

We have enough "are they or aren't they" 2nd rounders to develop in Walker, Rupert, Camara and Murray.

I hate Lebron. Rich Paul telling teams if they take Bronny he will go to Australia. Call the bluff Cronin.

I am feeling sad for the 2nd rounders that the NBA didn't even invest in a coffee machine in that corporate waiting area they sit them while hoping to hear their name called.

Bear in mind that the Spurs just did that. Even if you don't trust Cronin, you should trust their FO.

Here are the Spurs picks in the last few years:

Wemby (I mean, Duh)
Cissoko
Sochan
Malaki Braham
Blake Wesley
Josh Primo
Joe Wieskamp
Devin Vassell
Tre Jones
Luka Samanic
Keldon Johnson
Quinndary Weatherspoon

Not the best track record.

I mean, one of Kevin McCullar and Isaiah Crawford should be there at 52. So....please?

They've missed on plenty of picks in the last 10 years as well. We can circle back on this when your boy is ripping it up.

I doubt we keep it, but imagine there'll still be at least one intriguing guy left at 52 to take a chance on. Am also ok with sending it out for more future picks

So, is the deal that a second round pick doesn't have to sign a two way contract if he doesn't want to? Is he then a free agent if the team won't put him on the roster?

Watching this is like watching the 7th round of the nfl draft with a hangover.
It's boring and aggravating. I get that our roster is full and I like getting future picks, but our team is bad and seems locked into young guys with mediocre prospects (Scoot and Sharpe notwithstanding)... it just gives me a bad taste in my mouth overall.
