How familiar with Jody are you? Im not. Meaning, I dont know how she handles finances. During these times, she might have different advisors and or be in paranoia mode and not want to spend at all?

I guess Id be with ya in normal circumstances, but over the next year? I think teams are going to be very tight with money, and then the CBA factor.

But I agree on the deal. I think he could sign for anywhere from 3/25 to 5/40 and I think that would keep him here. His big one will come when he proves himself better than the one he signs for next.

I think Stotts has wanted to avoid lack of ball handlers leading to DameCJ getting trapped when the other sits... he hasn't played Trent any time at SG. Maybe they should give Adams or whoever the end of bench PG was they signed a chance.

I don't think this is because of the massive Portland TV audience...

The Blazers are starting to get a lot of national discussion. Lakers fans are interested in watching a possible first round opponent.

Did they replace another game in the Schedule? Who lost their spot on TNT to the Blazers/Mavericks

Not sure, but most likely like the regular season, they bumped another game that was as interesting diem the stretch.
 
That's garbage how they minimize our game thinking we cant win without help, but I'll take it.
 
With Whiteside out and how the clippers play, assuming they play their starters, I really hope Mario doesn’t gobble up any minutes and Stotts actually lets Wenyen or Nas play.

edit: just saw Kawhi is out. Free Wenyen!

Teams are like let’s make it easy for Portland to get in we want lakers to suffer lol
 
Last game Dame got a lot of calls, maybe the NBA realized that the Pelicans won't make it to the Playoffs, and they know the majority of nba fans want to see the Blazers against the Lakers (in the past few days we got a lot of national media attention) and Silver makes sure we get to the Playoffs

I'd be pretty pissed if I was a Suns/Spurs fan.

Suns could go 8-0 and miss the playin.
 
Phoenix will get the Heat without Jimmy Butler too.
 
yeah, so far in the bubble the Blazers have had the good fortune to be playing against teams missing a lot of starting level players. What appeared to be a really tough bubble schedule has been easier

kind of makes up for 66 games without Nurk, 63 games without Zach, and 45 games without Hood. And of course, Portland could have Ariza, and he would really change the make-up of the Blazer rotation.

Hood + Ariza with an emerging Trent and a healthy Nurk, and Dame leading the way? Only a 43 year gap between 1976 and 2020

I do think it's damn funny that other teams appear to be sand-bagging the Lakers into facing Portland in the 1st round. In a few months Portland has gone from a team nobody wanted to watch to one nobody wants to face

Think the narrative is overblown. Lebron and AD would absolutely destroy us. I can see us getting maybe 2 games if everything broke right. The Ariza absence is massive, and that is more an indictment on Neil's ineptitude than anything that we are THIS reliant on a 35 yr old we picked up off the trash heap. Barkley is talking out his ass when he says we can beat them. Not with our defense.

To be fair, it was upsetting to see the Spurs play the Jazz yesterday with Utah sitting four starters. All teams vying for a play-in playoff spot have had some form of help. Now, we just have to take advantage.
