First by Batum, then by this guy. Both seriously question his "amazing" rebound numbers. Having watched him play twice (both Blazer wins), I agree that it would be a travesty if he were to make the All-Star game ahead of Aldridge. But it's probably moot, as Blake Griffin will be put in there ahead of either of them.

That's a 'google translation?' Fun to read!
Love takes 17 rebounds, but in the end, he made 4 pats on the offensive rebound, you wonder if he does not miss on purpose, he is not trying to score. It is 7 rebounds at the end of the third, it takes 10 in the fourth by doing this: it is in fact a liar:) No, seriously, it's a great rebounder, but then I saw that it was also very clever!

kobe, paul, carmelo, durant, pau, deron, ginobili, westbrook, dirk, duncan leaves 2 spots

it's probable 2 of griffin/love/LMA will make it, unless Stern get sentimental for nash and picks him (which would be 6 guards).

Kevin love is going for stats and stealing rebounds from teammates and going over the back many a times and not getting called but he is also going for a historic season. Yea his stats are getting padded not just by him but also by his scorekeepers at home and probably also on the road a little bit. The NBA wants this so he'll keep doing all this to get that 20/15 season and the refs will give it to him as well as the scorekeepers.
When he gets on a real team he'll probably go back to what his number will actually be which imo will still be impressive at 16/12.

Zach is a shoo-in, he's been consistently dominant ALL SEASON LONG. Neither Love nor Aldridge are even close to his level this year.

I don't agree with several of your other choices either. I hear some guy named LeBron will get votes.

lol. Whats that phrase kids use these days?

Haters gonna hate?

i want some of what you're smoking

Meh, can't be any worse than Ricky Davis...

BTW, I saw this play after I was looking for the Ricky Davis play..... I miss Dennis Rodman.

Moses Malone was notorious for tipping in his own misses under the hoop. Love tips in his own misses and he's a stat monger....

I couldn't find a more appropriate time to bring up the term, "Haters gonna hate".

Coaches pick the 7 reserves but Stern will pick the spot left open by Yao being hurt, Aldridge will likely get that spot if the coaches don't vote him in.

.

Not true. Randolph was extremely inconsistent early in the season. But then again, so was Aldridge.

I don't understand why people criticize players for tipping in their own misses. Isn't that what you WANT your players to do? Or, if he misses, do you want him to just say "aw shucks" and run back down the court?

Quality post kingspeed. All very good points. I don't rep people because I don't think it's really necessary, but if I did, I'd rep this. Well done!

well that settles it, Batum is a hater :rolleyes2:

pretty sure Nicolas was questioning whether Love was missing shots on purpose so as to pad his rebounding stats in yet another Wolves drubbing.

btw Rastapopoulos, who is "this guy"? Your 2nd link doesn't lead to anything

I can't believe people think that Love would purposely miss to add to his rebounding stats. Thats a pretty deep accusation.

which is why i referred to stern. LMA's fate could very well be in his hands.

Aldridge will likely get that spot if the coaches don't vote him in.

stern has gone against the logical choice several times in the past, and showed no regard for team record when he picked kaman last year. it is far from automatic that he would pick LMA over either love or griffin if it comes down to that.

Stern picks whoever he has chosen as the poster child for that year. It ain't LaMarcus. The only Aldridge makes it is via the coaches, and I personally doubt he'll make it.

Is it Love? I doubt that. If it comes down to Griffin or Aldridge, I'm sure Stern would select Griffin for the buzz factor...but I'm entirely unconvinced that Love has any buzz factor over Aldridge.

If it comes down to Aldridge and anyone, it would be Love. And you don't think Love hasn't had Buzz factor? The guy is almost the great white hope. Plus, he's Mike Love's nephew. How much more current can you get than having an Uncle who is in the Beach Boys!?

not random people, Portland Trailblazer Nicolas Batum said this in the link provided. What phrase would the kids these days use to describe someone who is calling players from their favorite team derogatory names?

who is the other person..batum dissed him, who's the other one? your link is dead

Next Larry Bird!

And his uncle ruined the Beach Boys. If his uncle was Brian Wilson, I'd be all for him getting into the All-Star game.

I'm absolutely loving what Aldridge is doing right now.

But, c'mon. 30/30 game, average of 20/15 and consecutive double-double streak doesn't have any 'buzz factor'.

Can you rephrase that post? I didn't really get it.

To casual fans? No, I don't think so. He's definitely not a glamorous, face-of-the-NBA type of player. I'm making no comment on his actual ability level...just that I don't think he has some fame/star level that would cause Stern to be biased in his favour.

I'd say he's generated 'buzz' around the league. All you have to do is watch NBA gametime and Sportcenter to see media types rave about him.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't think very many people view Love as one of the glamour stars of the league. I think quite a few view Griffin that way.
