Semi OT: Monty Williams and KP?

So I was reading this article about the relationship Monty and Demps have formed when I read this sentence:

Williams had a lot of say in the process and wanted Demps for his boss. Williams won’t say it, but as a Portland Trail Blazers assistant coach, he watched the way GM Kevin Pritchard carried out his own agenda, the way that trust broke down.

I hadn't really read much about KP having his own agenda...guess that's another reason management wanted him gone? Or do you think the writer is just assuming?

Williams "won't say it" = more editorializing by Woj. Had Williams "said it", there would be a story. Instead, poor Woj has his anti-Pritchard pipeline rendered useless, and likely many of his sources in the NBA in the aftermath of his KP witchhunt, so he is insinuating things in his writing to keep that dead horse alive.

Woj is a douchebag. Stick to substance, you fucking douche.

Why would Williams lobbying for a GM mean anything? Plus, "a bit" of creative license? It is basically the definition of creative licensing, and very unprofessional in what was supposed to be a news article, IMO.

There's also "on the record" and "off the record," but I guess it's possible Woj still really has a burr up his ass about KP and used Monty as a tool to get yet another shot in on the guy, but to what end? KP isn't even in the league right now.
