[Semi-OT] The Lakers are an absolute Dumpster Fire and I am loving every second of it

I swear the league lets players slip to the Fakers.

Shooting is weighted very high and they've not had great shooters of late, so when he was there for the taking they jumped. Plus the head coach was a shooter himself so it takes one to know one.

I JUST realized as I tuned into this Lakers vs Suns game on TNT that the Lakers are 10-6! That surprised me. Didn’t see anything in this thread about that. That doesn’t surprise me. Could you imagine if they were 6-10?

I think he has been playing pretty well all season. I was just sharing the latest games info in the Laker thread. I thought that’s what this thread was for. Or was it like the Billups thread where it’s just for NEGATIVE things? Let me know.

only negative things please.

Yes, TNT vs Suns. Got their ass handed to them.

Lakers are down by 30 to the Heat, seems like their hot start has flipped and now they're only going to be a couple games over .500

If they continue this course its unlikely we're going to be able to trade them Grant or any other vets for some bounty of draft picks. So that possibility might be slipping away - if it was ever even there.

There have been a lot of reports for months that Cronin is demanding two FRP for Grant which seems beyond delusional. But its enough different reporter relaying it which makes it seem more credible. The Blazers transactions under Cronin have often been widely reported rumors before happening (drafting Sharpe, acquiring Grant, acquiring Ayton, drafting Clingan, etc)

I bet Portland has a few worse than that. Just last year, they lost by 56 at the end of the season to the Warriors, and 11 points the night before.

or games 76 and 75, which they lost by 40 and 34 points (for funzies, game 77 they lost by only 24).

Crazy that the Lakers are in our ballpark though... we have possibly the worst or 2nd worst roster in the NBA. They won a title 4 years ago and have LBJ as well as Anthony Davis.

I think it's a combo of aging stars, and horrific defense and no one else on their roster that would sniff an all star game ever.

And as much as we want to blame the coach, their coach last year had a similar record. I think LeBron is just not the kind of player that can make up for a dearth of talent anymore.

Crazy that you believe that...
There is nothing to believe - its a simple fact they are in our ballpark of losing two games by 70-80 combined points.

They're roster is clearly much better than ours. I don't believe the rosters are similar if thats what your referencing as a "crazy belief"

You just wait til they call up Bronny and he goes bananas

No that we have the worst roster in the league.

No that we have the worst roster in the league.
I said likely worst or 2nd worst. We finished with the 3rd worst record last year and at this moment have the 3rd fewest projected wins by betting odds this season.

Every other team currently in the lottery has a player clearly worth more than our best player;

Pistons Cade
Raptors Barnes
Hornets Ball
6ers Maxey
Wizards ? (we might have them here - thus 2nd worst)
Wolves Edwards
Kings Fox
Jazz Lauri
Pelicans Zion

Not sure it’s Redicks fault he’s only 6 months older than is aging fast decking best player
Redick was drafted in 2006 while Lebron was in his 4th NBA season.

Redick played a long 15 year NBA career, retired, took over 3 years off, and is now coaching

LeBron is still playing.
