Chris, I grew up in very ugly poverty in the Bay Area to cocaine-addicted parents in a one-bedroom apartment surrounded by coke-heads. Both parents were alcoholics as well.

Pretty much this.

Chris, I grew up in very ugly poverty in the Bay Area to cocaine-addicted parents in a one-bedroom apartment surrounded by coke-heads. Both parents were alcoholics as well.

In my 20s, I lived in poverty on a side of town where it was routine to find needles on the ground outside the house I lived in. Which was falling apart, by the way.

I slept in my car on job sites while working as both an armed and unarmed officer for several security companies because my boss would have fired me if I left the site. And I made only $10.32 and hour.

We all have sob stories, and trust me: I could go on and on with mine. You're not gonna win my pity with yours.

Be proud of yourself for your accomplishments. You certainly have my respect for that.

But don't label those who aren't you as uneducated. You are NOT superior to me.

I voted for Trump. And your arrogance is half the reason why.

You attacked me personally. I responded. I've said what I have to say.

What makes you think my father didn't pull himself out of poverty and overcome addiction? All without a college education too.

He went from working a production line in a factory, where he literally watched a light bulb light up while testing circuit boards, fresh out of rehab in the 80s, to being the President of a company (it was bought out by an old company he used to work for after he was hired), and later Vice President of a company based in China. He left that position after a year for many reasons; not the least of which was corruption and a poor business culture (this is China after all.....).

He's now a Senior Sales Manager with a company based in France, working with some sort of sophisticated industrial camera/lens equipment for computer software or something. Which is different technology than the Test Fixtures he was working with before.

He owns 3 houses and 6 cars. He'll retire in about 4 years as a millionaire.

Not bad huh?

I'm very proud of him.

Oh get over yourself, Chris. I mocked your condescending tone and labeling of anyone who didn't vote Democrat as being a bunch of uneducated cavemen. You've done it constantly on this forum.

Get over it. Or I can REALLY show you what an insult is...

I have not been condescending. I have noted the fact, that the majority of people who voted for Trump are in fact uneducated people, who have unfortunately been duped. They believe Trump will make life better for their families, bring back jobs and stabilize the economy. It appears that he will do the opposite and destroy what little these families have left. I mocked no one, I have insinuated that these people are cavemen. Do not put words in my mouth.

I hope I am wrong. I hope that Trump proves me wrong. I dont see that happening. One of us will eat crow, and in this case, I would be glad to do so.

I have been a voice here in these forums because I care about this country. I am not the arrogant person you make me out to be. I am passionate about what I believe, and despite our differences there, I respect your beliefs too. I will continue to argue as will you. That is part of what makes this country great.

It appears he will destroy what they have left? If you're going to make baseless accusations you should either back that up or get a job at CNN.

Your arrogance comes from your ASSUMPTION that they are uneducated. Which also falls to the fact that many Democrats think they know what's best for the people because they think of themselves as more "educated".

I get what you mean by "uneducated". That means "someone who didn't go to college". I get that.

But labeling people with such terms is one of the many reasons people voted for Trump in the first place. That kind of labeling brings an attitude with it that is elitist and arrogant.

I dropped out of community college twice. No excuses; I hold myself accountable for that, no one else.

But I am NOT uneducated about what is wrong with this country. And the arrogance of assuming that I am is the reason Trump was elected in the first place.

I appreciate your respect, and you have mine as well. I've always admired people for their accomplishments in life, and you certainly have my respect for that.

But just because a person either didn't go to college, or didn't complete it, does NOT mean that they are uneducated about what's best for themselves, what their problems are, or what is wrong with this country.

If you took my mocking as an insult, then you have my apologies for that.

Y'know, people say that Trump supporters are crazy, but I think that's short sighted. There are MANY types of crazy. There's creepy, Ed Gein crazy (MarAzul). Then there's the gibbering fly-eating, Tom Waits in Dracula crazy (magnifier661) and finally there's seen-too-much-so-finally-something-broke-inside crazy (Jade Falcon). But they do have one thing in common: somewhere there's an ex-wife with a restraining order.

Saddest of all, though, is the Trump Supporter Wannabe. And that's Denny.
Run out of bullshit so you stoop to insults?

Not surprised.

Yeah, I have WAY more respect for @Chris Craig than I do Rasta. Rasta is fucking OBSESSED with Trump. I mean, Jesus....as if a fucking thread about him every 3 seconds wasn't enough.

You should see the response I left him after that insult a couple pages back, lol.

Sigh..... So much arrogance in this post.

Exactly. This idea that people who didn't go to college are "uneducated" is nonsense. Plenty of people have self taught, home schooled, learned through other avenues and have become successful in life, owning businesses, etc. College does not mean people are all of the sudden "educated". Education is all subjective and if they were going to compare anything you would have to do an IQ test for every single voter to compare/contrast.

Me? College educated male, personally (not combined with my wife) making over 125K a year from hard-fucking-work, impeccable work ethic, and responsibility. I voted for Trump. Because I am not brainwashed by MSM any longer. 'nuff of that shit, did that for far too long.

In 2008 and 2012, Obama won the uneducated vote. Your statement is flawed. SAD

Bill Gates quit college after 2 years. What a moron.

Yep, well said.

My own father never went to college. Overcame addiction. Makes six figures now, and even has a patent in his name.

"Uneducated" is nothing more than a label used by elitists. Don't fall for it.

How about "poorly educated"? Is that one ok? Or is that only used by elitists also?

Because I heard Trump say that one... and Trump surely couldn't be an elitist, could he?

Poorly Educated isn't the same as being "uneducated". One implies simple ignorance, the other implies stupidity.

And you KNOW what Liberals are referring to when they call people "uneducated". And they don't say it as a form of endearment.

Hmm. To me, poorly educated suggests little, or bad, education, whereas uneducated suggests no education. Neither implies stupidity.

The problem is, you'll have two people, one whose not gone to college, but owns their own business and is making 6 or 7 figures with no college debt. And another whose gone to college and got a degree in liberal arts whose now paying back college debt making minimum wage at McDonalds.

Liberals will lump the college "educated" person in with their "smart person" label bucket, and outcast the non-college educated person.
