I said we should draft Durant.

(don't check. Just take my word for it.)

i dont regret drafting oden still... we get durant, we probably dont get lillard. it worked out strangely enough.

except we'd get a lot less batum hate. lol.

Forget Faried....we could have had Reggie Jackson, Jimmy Butler, Singler, Isaiah Thomas.

I said BRoy was washed up the season before he took medical retirement one day after saying he'd never felt better. He then went on to prove me right again when I predicted he wouldn't last half a season with the Wolves.

Thomas was another 'right' I got. He was my 1b with Faried at #21. Coming into the draft people assumed he was really 5'5" but he measured 5'9" without shoes and 5'10.25" with shoes combined with a longer wingspan and standing reach than CP3, I thought he'd be a lock to go in the first. Going #60 was insulting.

I was a huge fan of his and thought he'd turn into what JJ Barea was to Dallas during their title run.

And he's turned into just that, only much better.

Faried. Never watched him play, but knew he was better than Nolan smith based on hair style alone.
lillard. Again never watched him play but I watched his workout for blazers and knew he would be great based on the look in his eye.
joel przybilla. I loved him before it was cool.
kobe. I knew his new contract would cripple the purple and piss and I love it.
sheed. Knew he would be a champion if he didnt have to worry about anti blazer reffing

I was right about:
1. Gorgui Dieng was a great defensive player in college and thought his playing style would translate well to the NBA.
2. Faried over Nolan in the draft
3. Damian eventually becoming the Blazers franchise player (he's well on his way!)

I was wrong about:
Rolo. He is now one of my favorite players on the team!

In 2010 I thought the Blazers should've taken Quincy Poindexter because of the uDub pipeline or Greivis Vasquez because I thought he could be the perfect player for Miller to take under his wing.

I think our bench would've been a lot better right now had we picked one of those two.

I liked Vasquez too. I have been mostly wrong though. I wanted Andre Drummond, over Dame.

:lol:Actually....I'm pretty sure i have never been wrong?
At least that's the way i see it.:biglaugh:

I think most people had number 2 as well. Nolan was seen as a second rounder by most experts.

Well, for one, I was the one who introduced to the board to Lillard...

I said folks would forget about renaming the arena the Moda Center and not boycott the place because it's not the Rose Garden anymore.

I call bullshit on that! I will never forget and i still call it the "Rose Garden"!

well, there you are then..would you boycott the arena like some folks said they would? I still say the roar as died down and the pitchforks and torches have been tucked away. No protest crowds with signs, nada..just Blazer basketball. Watching the homecrowd they seem thrilled, new court is popular, I think most folks think we've upgraded.Reflecting on the changeover, I don't think it's a big deal anymore.

I put the LOL thingy on there to show i was joking bro. Need to figure out how to make a sarcasm font but i can pretty much assure you that you can just assume i have a smile on my face when i type something.

I predicted someday people would carry little boxes around that they could talk to somebody with and see them at the same time...well, Dick Tracv had some input

oh, i dont forget. i never call it that other name. it's the rose garden.

I knew that Benghazi was a bullshit fake scandal and that the Republicans wouldn't apologize for millions of wasted dollars and faux outrage when it came out.

heh, totally transparent aren't they? Everyone knows they'll bring it back from the bullshit fake scandal heap to use against Hilary and avoid talking about the real issues in front of us and their agenda... can't wait

a few highlights where I was pretty much a lone voice

-called the Sheed for SAR trade crap as it gave us redundant uncomplimentary talents with Zbo... wanted cap space or the Detroit offer instead
-was emphatic that Portland should have drafted Chris Paul instead of thinking Telfair was the man
-wanted LA over the Stache who I said I hoped we passed on twice
-wanted Batum with the 13th pick (was pretty stoked we traded for him at #25)

been wrong a few times too but I will probably be too busy to respond to that thread ;-)

I was in on Paul too. Wanted him over trading down for Webster. At that point, based on talent of team, you take BPA and he was clearly it.

I knew Kingspeed was gay when he was a poster on early 2000 from O-live.
