fourier, laplace, z... lol all i remember these days are the names. forgot everything about when and where to use the different transforms.Only for the New York Knicks- it requires a Fournier transform.
That a basketball and nerd joke for @THE HCP
A lot of times your doctor's office doesn't have an MRI machine so they send you to a radiologist or radiology center. Many times a radiologist doesn't perform the MRI, an MRI tech does and your doctor still wants the radiologist to look at the MRI and make a report which usually doesn't happen or at least get released until the end of the day. Then your doctor has to schedule you for another appointment to go over the results. When this is the process a one day turnaround is actually pretty fast. When this is the process in an HMO it can take a week before you find out because of they might not give a shit about how long it takes and the doctor at that point has no control over expediting the results... especially if it's not an emergency or what the HMO deems an emergency. What the hell were they doing, taking pictures of you from space?

When you're seeing an orthapedic surgeon who has looked at thousands of MRIs, they usually have a machine in house, have a tech do the actual scans, have them sent back to them and "finish up your appointment" while your still there. Not only is this convinient for you but it's very lucrative for the surgeon because they get to bill for two appointments, the radiology report and the MRI itself and only pay their office overhead which would include the tech's salary.
Didn’t Collins hurt his shoulder in summer league? How long did that take to come out?
Is it though? If it's not an issue the coach already said he'll be playing. I get it that we're all obsessed but whether or not a player is playing has never been something teams wanted to have to let people know, the league just made them start doing it at some point so they had to put out injury reports, they're under no such stipulation here. So if they already said, he's feeling good and will play unless the MRI comes back bad, isn't that already telling us everything we need to know? You might be right, of course, and I'm expecting good news, but this is just another signal that the Trail Blazers organization isn't a well oiled machine.

I don't know what ladder you're talking about and how anyone would get in one unless we're talking about the bucket attached to a fire engine ladder, in which case I'm sure a millionaire basketball player could arrange getting in one but I don't know how likely that would be...And a millionaire basketball player will likely be in the ladder.
We are talking about a summer league boo-b00.You might be right, of course, and I'm expecting good news, but this is just another signal that the Trail Blazers organization isn't a well oiled machine.
He’s clearly talking about the social ladder. Those millionaire athletes are social climbers!I don't know what ladder you're talking about and how anyone would get in one unless we're talking about the bucket attached to a fire engine ladder, in which case I'm sure a millionaire basketball player could arrange getting in one but I don't know how likely that would be...
but yeah, they would be in the category of getting immediate MRI results and probably would only have to wait about five minutes after getting the scan.
Usually I think you're a little too close to the team to be impartial and tend to side with them a little too much but this is spot on.We are talking about a summer league boo-b00.
This is anything but another "signal that the Trail Blazers organization isn't a well oiled machine"...
Overreact (negatively, of course) much?
One thing I have noticed recently in so many comments, by so many people, is a common thought that the team "owes us their thought process"..
THEY DON"T.

Sorry if that came off as a backhanded complement, just wanted to be honest with what I was thinking.

I know we want them to have someone telling us: When Shaedon woke up this morning he said his shoulder felt a little stiff but after showering he said it felt normal. Shaedon then came to a team meeting where the training stafff examined him and everyone thought he was feeling good. We scheduled the MRI anyway to be sure. Shaedon was driven to the radiology center in a grey sudan because he likes grey more than black. The MRI was done at Desert Radiology on Wynn Rd because it's closest to where the team is staying although we considered a couple of other radiologists in the area. Shaedon gave Desert Radiology a five star review on Google and we will use them again in the future if necessary. The MRI report came back without any structural damage and we all high fived.
I will admit, (but not publicly) to a degree of truth to that, especially when it comes to Joe Cronin, who truly is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my entire life, easily, hands down.Usually I think you're a little too close to the team to be impartial and tend to side with them a little too much but this is spot on.

They told us yesterday that he will play unless the MRI is bad. Like I just said, teams hate giving injury reports and only due because leagues force them to and they still tend to try and obfuscate those reports when they can.Or maybe they could just tell the fans (the people that make them money) whether he'll fucking play or not because they all want to know.
What the hell were they doing, taking pictures of you from space?
This is America. It shouldn't take more than an hour to get the results
How many fans will it bother that they didn't tell us yesterday if Shaedon ends up playing during the rest of SL? I think all of us will be bothered if they sat on the news of a major injury for a day unless they're getting a second MRI or second opinion before hitting us with that. So what I'm saying is that this isn't symptomatic of any of the organizations problems unless they already have a conclusive and bad diagnosis.I don't know what you think I'm saying. It shouldn't be controversial or an overreaction to say that this organization isn't a well-oil machine, let's say since Paul Allen died. Don't make me list the ways, sheesh. It's been a mess, no?
And sure the Blazers can do what they want, but if they want to get back to selling out every game, they should clean things up a little. Controlling the narrative is possible either way, it's just that this way bothers the fans.
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
Maybe you're being sarcastic but if not, it's my understanding that @Wade Garrett works at the Moda Center and has close contact with the team on a regular basis. You can correct me if I'm misremembering that Wade.Wait....why is he too close to the team?
Did I miss a memo about what connections people have?!?

It's the only one they could dig up in NevadaThat one looks a bit crude.
And by the way, I don't mind the bias because it comes with a ton of perspective that I don't have. So I really appreciate your contributions to all of the discussions in here but I do take them with the context that you've given us about where you're coming from. So a slight bias that comes with a lot more informed opinion is very valuable IMO. We all have our biases when it comes to this team, yours just happens to be informed in a unique way.Spot on.
