because his prime has been so good this season
This is illogical, just like giving up on Dame 9 games into the season when you have 9 years of data.

We had one year out of 9 where we went to the WCF and everyone knew we didn't have a chance against a Kevin Durantless Warriors. Whoopty Doo.
It was cool enough. Just nobody logically could have thought we had a chance to actually beat them. People like to point to the one WCF appearance as if it means Olshey did a great job. Throwing around we made the WCF once sounds better than it was. We didn't have a chance to get out of the WCF.This doesn’t make sense to me. Are the young Blazers not supposed to claw their way to the WCF because everyone knows they’re not good enough to beat the best team in the league? Is Olshey supposed to somehow make the Warriors worse?
I seriously can't believe people are STILL defending Olshey.
Another Lillard prime year flushed down the toilet.
Hopefully he doesn't excecute a fuck you trade on the way out
I really kind of hope Stotts, Wheels and the Mike's throw him under the bus.

HCP, can thee confirm this?

Looks like Antonio Harvey had a lot of negative stuff to say about him on social media
Wheels and the Mike's worked with McGowan on the business side, not under Neil.I really kind of hope Stotts, Wheels and the Mike's throw him under the bus.
If healthy, Roy and Oden would have won many titles. No question. It was cool enough. Just nobody logically could have thought we had a chance to actually beat them. People like to point to the one WCF appearance as if it means Olshey did a great job. Throwing around we made the WCF once sounds better than it was. We didn't have a chance to get out of the WCF.
We haven't really had a team that could compete for a title during Dame's career. The team we had where Wes went down with an injury was the closest we had in terms of maybe, just maybe getting one.
Still felt better about the potential of the Roy, Aldridge, Oden team.
whiteside is the hill he chooses to die on?
fuckin hassan whiteside?
lol
If Nurk and Collins and Hood wouldn't have gone down, our bench wouldn't have been starting either....injuries seriously fucked a really decent roster...we've been starting bench players for the last few years...finally we have a fairly healthy roster and bench. If healthy Roy and Aldridge would have won many titles. No question.
Not sure if Aldridge would have stuck it out, but Roy and Oden were pretty much unstoppable when healthy.
Even with those guys healthy I think we needed a second all star to get be serious contenders. If Nurk and Collins and Hood wouldn't have gone down, our bench wouldn't have been starting either....injuries seriously fucked a really decent roster...we've been starting bench players for the last few years...finally we have a fairly healthy roster and bench.
Won 53 in 18-19 though so closethat season, Portland won 54 games. They haven't matched that in 8 years
It wasn’t whoopty doo me. Watching Dame hit another series winner, watching us win a 4OT game, beating Denver in Gm 7 on the road with CJ leading us. That was FUN. Losing in WCF sucked but getting there was fun.We had one year out of 9 where we went to the WCF and everyone knew we didn't have a chance against a Kevin Durantless Warriors. Whoopty Doo.
Again. Dude plays around the margins and whiffs when be has had opportunities to improve the team more than by the margins. He can go be a good enough gm for a big market team. He is not good enough to be a small market gm.
Neil was so defensive after the sweep in 2018. Felt like he was yelling at the posters on this board.Neil must read S2!

It was fun. There just were no illusions that we would win a title that year. Neil has failed to put a contender around the best player our franchise has ever had. It is sad.It wasn’t whoopty doo me. Watching Dame hit another series winner, watching us win a 4OT game, beating Denver in Gm 7 on the road with CJ leading us. That was FUN. Losing in WCF sucked but getting there was fun.

Why shouldn’t he be criticized for not trading Aldridge? We knew years in advance that he wouldn’t be back.Neil deserves to be fired from the 2016 offseason alone.
A lot of his other failures and other criticisms are justified.
Only thing I strongly support him on is keeping Aldridge, the criticism he gets for not trading him is ludicrous.
I'm ready for a new GM. However the scary part is I have little faith ownership will hire an improvement. Will really suck if it's even worse.
Why shouldn’t he be criticized for not trading Aldridge? We knew years in advance that he wouldn’t be back.
Huh? We had like the 2nd best record in the West, up and coming superstar discovered as a sidekick for him, and LMA was pretty much all over the media saying he wants to retire as the best Blazer ever.
Once the trade deadline passed is when shit went south quick. So please tell me at what point do you trade him? Lol
