Funny hearing Bonzi be all like "hell no!" like he (Rasheed) had no reason to apologize, and then Sheed's like "yeah man, I did. I shouldn't have done it" (tho there might be more to his "apology" in the rest of the show instead of this short clip).
if not, at least it sounds like Sheed has matured quite a bit since this incident so good on him.Speaking of towels, remember Pippen attacking the stack of towels after game 3 or 4 of 2000 WCF?
So that's what it was about; Wallace gets hit inadvertently by a teammate. What a baby! I had always speculated that it was because he was frustrated that Sabonis wasn't more physical with Shaq. That I could respect a little, although how could anyone be more physical the way the refs were calling fouls on Shaq opponents?I was always on Sheed’s side. Sabonis flops and pops his Sheed in the mouth. Where is Sabonis’ apology? Sheed was just frustrated.
What about this?! #BillWaltonBeanieBabyGate
That's dumb - it was a total accident. Sabonis probably didn't even know he'd done it and was completely blindsided by Sheed. I agree with Sheed NOW not Sheed then. There's probably a happy medium between your view and Bill Walton's.I was always on Sheed’s side. Sabonis flops and pops his Sheed in the mouth. Where is Sabonis’ apology? Sheed was just frustrated.
He was a hothead, but never an asshole. As somebody said of Barkley - there are assholes that want you to think they're good guys, and then there are good guys who want you to think they're assholes. Barkley and Sheed were the latter (KG too, I think).Rasheed was an hothead asshole, and that towel toss was a prime example

You're discounting all he did to HELP the team. Why is he responsible for his temper but we can discount his ability, his unselfishness and his great defense?I disagree. He was an asshole because his selfish stupid tantrums hurt his team, over and over and over. Rinse-Repeat. I liked him a lot, at first, but got completely sick of his lack of self-control; was very happy when he was traded

If Sheed is so bad, why didn’t he cost Detroit a championship?
Sheed was ahead of his time. He knew the refs were betting on games. And he knew that shooting a 3 is more efficient than pounding in the post for 2 even though he was constantly criticized for that.
Cause he fit in. They were all bad boys. It was their identity.
Heretofore I was unaware that the Jailblazers' identity was "good boys"Cause he fit in. They were all bad boys. It was their identity.
I read some transcripts about that game 7 and the number one comment from the Lakers was "Rasheed was killing us - we couldn't stop him, and then they stopped going to him"Said it a thousand times. Rasheed Wallace cost this team a Championship. Fuck Rasheed Wallace! Absolute IDIOT!

I think you're thinking of the wrong Pistons. The team Rasheed was on wasn't in any way a "bad boy" team. Chauncy Billups, Ben Wallace, Tayshaun Prince and Richard Hamilton were their other best players and none of them were particularly "bad boy"-ish, especially at that point in their careers.
Ironically, the only "bad boy" team Rasheed Wallace was on was the Blazers in their "Jail Blazers" era.
Wallace didn't ruin the Pistons' chances because he didn't ruin anyone's chances...for both the Pistons and Blazers, he was a tremendous player who made them better.
Better go visit those "Transcripts" again.I read some transcripts about that game 7 and the number one comment from the Lakers was "Rasheed was killing us - we couldn't stop him, and then they stopped going to him"
