dude was wearing a bullet proof vest and had an assault rifle. hopefully he got put down.
 
the police turn the other eye when these psychos are young 11 and 12 year olds going around carjacking people?
 
No ish. Had this happened a few days before the attempted carjacking, I doubt that the officers release the kids to their parents.
 
4 people got off a bus, one with a mask, and 3 without a mask.
 
I was planning on going there after work today, around the time that this happened, but changed my mind at the last minute, and decided to go to another store instead.
 
So fucked up.... is he still at large?

3:56 p.m.:John Canzano, sports columnist for The Oregonian, reported that as many as 60 shots were fired while he was shopping at the mall.

Is Canzano the shooter? :dunno:
 
As long as everybody has the right to have guns right? This is bullshit! I served my country and have shot almost every weapon made........ people do NOT need weapons like this at their disposal!!!!

Sounds like someone else at the mall may have been carrying a concealed weapon and shot the shooter dead before he could get off more rounds. Of course, rumors at this point are wildly inconsistent.
 
Deputies said the suspect had been "neutralized" at a news conference just before 5 p.m.

Why they had to call a news conference to neutralize him baffles me. :dunno:

He was neutralized and then released to his parents.

One guess: People may still be inside (hiding out, etc.) and scared to come out. With "official" word that the assailant has been neutralized, they might get phone calls from friends and/or family members to reassure them that the danger has been brought under control.

“We believe there was one and only one shooter involved and that shooter is deceased,” Rhodes later said. Police did not think there were any other suspects.
 
But remember, guns don't kill people. So those three people just died of shock.
