What about Andre Miller? Same thing.
I like Wallace better too, but Vince was actually available, unlike GWall.

Actually if we gave up Batum, we could have gotten Wallace, if reports are right.

A few minutes before the midseason trade deadline, there were no rumors, nothing, about our using LaFrentz to get a player. So I started a thread titled "Fire Pritchard" on the ESPN board and argued with a couple of Pritchard lovers for days. A week later my post history disappeared (I was Herb the Crusher, which had replaced jlprk due to deletions and bans and before that Bob Whitsitts Ghost), including many links I'd researched, for creative posts I'd taken an hour to write or run spreadsheets for, and over a season of predictions game results, both game and monthly results, etc. Ferocious Rooster replaced Herb and they kept abusing him, too.
To make a long story short, I'm inhibited about posting to this thread. But Vince Carter would have sure made a difference. For one thing, Roy would have had to grow up and share the ball. But, Pritchard needs more years to evaluate the roster, and I must defer to his supporters. Just about the time Oden is retiring, Pritchard will figure out someone who needs to go and accept a trade. I'll let others slowly figure out Pritchard while I watch silently.
(I was also the first to figure out Wally Walker and bailed out on the Sonics long before anyone else on the Sonic board knew the team was disintegrating.)
What's this have to do with Vince Carter? (sigh) It's just another example of why my allegiances and screen names change over the years....
