A bunch of us were saying this over the summer. Not sure if it would have gotten it done but it sure should have been looked at.

Lillard
Harden
Batum
Hickson
Leonard

That would have been a solid lineup.

LMA for Ibaka and Harden made too much sense to actually happen. I saw that trade everywhere.

Yeah, and OKC would have Westbrook, Harden and Aldridge. Never would beat that team in the foreseeable future. Multiple rings for the Thunder pretty much guaranteed.

It took a lot of lack of imagination to trade Harden for Lamb and Martin. Not just on Oklahoma's part.

YEAH CAUSE ALDRIDGE IS SUCH A WINNER. GIVE ME A BREAK.

Now that he's not an option, what SG out there is worth LMA?

I'd still look at DeMarcus though.

if we're talking "right now", technically, Melo and LeBron are in that conversation. But I get your point.

We need a real center to take pressure off LA. Hickson isn't a center, in a perfect world he comes off the bench and dominates.

As for SGs worth LA? not a lot that we could acquire because anyone we take back has to be an allstar.

Yeah. Name 3 better power forwards in the game right now. Go! :MARIS61:[/QUOTE

LOVE GRIFFIN BOSH GARNETT GASOL DIRK DUNCAN JUST TO NAME A FEW CUPCAKE.

Love- Injured
Griffin- just highlights
Bosh- Joke
Garnett- Old
Gasol -Old
Dirk - Old + Injured
Duncan- LA is better than him right now. Old.

At worst he's the #2 PF in the game.

TAKE PRESSURE OF LMA? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! WHAT KIND OF LEADER IS THAT? SICK OF THE EXCUSES FOR THIS GUY. HE IS WHAT HE IS. A 2ND OPTION.

Let it ride for a year and see what we get in the draft and possibly in free agency or a trade. We're not going to be able to get equal value for him in a trade and this team isn't going anywhere any time soon.

Yes. Then we can officially make Lillard the new Fall Guy.

YOU'RE JOKING RIGHT? SO CAUSE LOVE IS INJURED HE IS NOT BETTER? YOU'RE A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND WHO CARES IF THEY ARE OLDER? THEY ARE BETTER. GO KICK ROCKS

No. They aren't better. None of them are better than LA is except for Love. Who is currently injured.

Learn the game and then post. Or find some lithium. whatever works for you.

DeMarcus Cousins!

The only reason why he's available is because of his attitude. Strike before (or if..) he 'gets it.'

I'm just saying that trying to trade Aldridge right now isn't likely to bring back an equal or greater talent, because there's so little to throw into a deal with him. He's on a market friendly contract, you can't get a top ten player for him alone and this team is pretty much in a rebuild.

So I fail to see how this makes Lillard the "new fall guy"

Its the circle of things. Blazers fans always end up hating the "man" on the team and makes them the fall guy and tries to run them out of town.

Btw, why the freak out?

It was obvious before the season even started that they would struggle.

I guess. Frankly, I think people just need to chill the fuck out a little bit this year and try to at least focus their attention on seeing if this starting lineup can do anything noteworthy or develop any kind of chemistry. Measuring things by wins and losses this year is going to lead to a lot of heartburn.

LMA with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and this is the thread he gets.

I don't know. Maybe some people really hadn't let it settle in that this team is kind of starting over ... even if there are still a few familiar faces.
